is it catering standard?
Just thinking the Peoples kitchen might take it or a community cafe.
Laughing at the responses :rotfl:
Jinny - that was my intention, they could even have the pasta chef if he doesn,t pull his bottom lip in
On the positive side, he is now upstairs sorting the last building bits of the bedroom out, which leaves me to clear kitchens cupboards to my standard.
Nothing serious, we,ll be all lovely dovey by tonight, well back to normal anyway:)Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

I know there are many worthy causes in the UK too, but this just struck a cord with me, thought someone might be interested.Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

I don't think I'm doing well in terms of doing things in the right order but I'm shifting stuff so that's ok in my head. Some more clothes about to go to the CS. Also sorted stationery and sending some of that too.....nt sure it'll sell but someone might want some airmail paper and envelopes, blank postcards and assorted envelopes!!!
I'm another who sneaks a peek at the tidy drawers every so often

Bloody childish...
Yep, childish, but...
Change can be invigorating or unsettling. You are feeling invigorated, taking control of your personal domains, by kondoing.
He is unsettled by this change, which he didn't initiate, and doesn't seem to have much control of.
The pasta pot is just his way of marking his own place in the household.Needs, NOT wants!

Started clearing the kitchen, we,re getting a new one fitted so its the ideal time to be ruthless....
Last year DH was given a second hand enourmous pasta pot, we,ve never used it and I said we should get rid of it as its way too big and takes up space for no reason - que rant...... Its the only thing he,s asked to keep etc, it,s his, he was given it... Bloody childish was waiting for him to lay on the floor and kick his feet... Phahhhh.....
So much for the peace and harmony of decluttering - i,ll put the bloomin thing in his wardrobe....
Moan over
Lolol I have a DH who is much the same , every single item I try and get rid of even though he hasn't set eyes on them in years causes us to argue over it :cool:Still in the middle of doing books although stopped while I counted garden birds!! I have kept all my A level Eng Lit books - I hated Eng Lit but the teacher was fab and somehow I got an A!! Did put me off reading for pleasure for years.... it was well after university. The books have lots of my scribbled notes in the margin and not all about the textI now belong to a reading group and 2 of the books have come up in members choices and it was very amusing reading my thoughts from 30 years ago to my reading buddies - great hilarity all round
Right back to book cull.........taking longer than I thought but I am being ruthless. Have decided to try my luck at Z*pper - even a tenner is better than nothing
I'm counting birds tomorrow:T

I have been through my knickers and bras, pyjamas and outdoor/running stuff. another bin bag for rags and one for resale in the cs. I genuinely did not think I had that much stuff!!!
I knew I was going to be short on pyjamas after the cull so I had pre-invested in a nice new pair
I have also bought a new dressing gown. The old one I have had for 15 years since I was a teenager and it really sparks anti-joyconsidering its something thats in use every single day I feel that I am worth something that sparks joy. I was far from being a bargain but is worth the money I paid for it. I love it so much I spent most of yesterday afternoon and evening wearing it over my clothes

OH did his side of wardrobe and drawers, mega impressed with him! 24 items out, also paperwork done just needs better labelling! AND the cupboard under the stairs done, old bookcase chopped up and used for shelving and everything in containers and labelled as this is our larder/cleaning/tool cupboard, up to 80 odd items out to CS all together not including binned items, And I keep being surprised by how much is going as I thought I was pretty organised /tidy/non-hoarder person! but feel so much better though thanks Kon MariHaving a Consumer Holiday 2015:A0

I'm really glad I decided to start KMing my books last week because something I listed for sale on Amaz*n has sold for over £20! I don't even remember buying that book and had certainly never read it.
Most of my unwanted books sadly are worth next to nothing but hopefully the charity shop can make some money from them. I've realised most of the fiction I'm getting rid of will be easy to replace if I ever decide I want to read it again, but some older paperbacks seem to have been made with cheap paper which has yellowed and turned brittle with age. Giving them away for others to read before they started to disintegrate would have been a better use of the resources that went into making them...0 -
Hmmm.
I'd be pretty annoyed if someone were trying to make me throw out something That sparked joy in me. Similarly I won't be asking my DH to bish his double bass, considerably bigger than a pasta pot. ( even though it is rarely played...last summer he did play it a couple of times but that was mainly because we had people over and they were short a bass.)
I don't think home is joyful if we forget its shared.
I'm pleasantly surprised. My DH came home and I asked him if he wanted to still share a knicker drawer with me and he said he wouldn't have it any other way and I said well.....here's the thing.....
We now have a beautifully organised underwear drawer and then we did his t shirt drawer. He agrees, vertically sorting on my ikea thingies looks more difficult but has suggested we have a play around together with it. ( he is worse at folding than I am) .
His t short drawer, which has never been less than bulging.y over full is now half empty. I'm not convinced everything he has kept brings him joy, but I'm impressed and proud of him, and hope he brings me support to do my things as well! I got rid of a favourite pair of knickers I have loved and hung on to for years even though they are past it. And my wedding day lingerie)0 -

Aah that takes me back.
my dear late FIL was in a band they played jazz
On a Saturday night the piano top was took off, my father in law on the drums, the nieghbour on the trumpet with his wife a great singer
And of course FIL,s brother on the double bass
The grannie playing darts in the kitchen with her mates
Pure bedlam - pure fab
nobody complained all the nieghbours were usually in there.

Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”
