    Min's game day 11

4 pocket guide books and phrase books to chazzer - duplicates
1 one pot recipe book - chazzer
2 more pairs boxers - cut for rags
1 once, but no longer, joyful top - chazzer
1 chipped cut glass vase to the bin
and 2 other things that i've forgotten - even though it was about an hour ago i did it. is this because i am getting older or evidence of how little they meant?

Ooh - i've remembered one, a Benjamin Bunny book that was DS christening present. I haven't even asked him as i know the answer - and i never could stick Beatrix Potter :rotfl:

Anyone else find they talk to themselves differently? (You do all talk to yourselves, right? :o:p) As in "why are you keeping that?" "There is no JIC" etc....

    Getting there

Finding a new home under all the STUFF!
  • Today OH kondoed half a dozen tee shirts in response to a Syrian refugee appeal. I halved my homeless bits and bobs that I gather up all year round for the Christmas appeal. I also got shot of two items that were destined for ebay plus another two garments. Sometimes the needs of others are greater than whatever few pennies that can be gained from ebay. Plus, some space has been freed up. Hopefully the weekend will have lots of productive kondoing for everyone.

I have started emptying handbag when I come in, it does make it easier in the morning as I know thT I have everything I need without rummaging through it.

    I don't thank it though

A friend bought me one of those handbag organisers so I could transfer the contents from bag to bag if I chose. I find it useful because my current favourite bag only has limited pockets. But I'm lazy and don't change my bag from day, in fact I only ever change it for special occasions like weddings. Am I alone?

I have discovered a carrier bag full of old necklaces that have been shoved in the wardrobe since I moved (3 years ago)
How do people store jewellery? I don't do costume jewellery but I have some gold that I wear and other bits (mostly inherited) that give me joy thet I wear occasionally. Is the traditional jewellery box (complete with revolving, tuneful ballerina;)) dead?
Carolbee - like someone else said, hold on to the coat until you find one that DOES bring you joy. There is no joy in freezing.

    :rotfl:

Juliebunny - I'm the opposite re my laundry. These days I'm much more likely to put it away ASAP than pre KM. Today I stripped the beds, washed the bedding, hung it out, once dry I brought it in and ironed it! It's now neatly folded and in the airing cupboard. I'm quite proud of the turnaround time for that! Lol :o

I've also found ironing is MUCH easier if I iron straight from the washing line rather than items folded in a washing basket for a few days.

Thanks for that. I'll wear my much loved (but can't find a replacement) winter coat with much joy when the time comes.

I feel ashamed listening to your turnaround on the bedding. What I like about the days I wash the towels and bedding is that no ironing's involved. I never iron bedding.:o:o:o

    o

No, you aren't alone. I only use one handbag, and I haven't been to a wedding for about 11 / 12 years.

I have a small jewellery box, no revolving ballerina tho ( what IS that all about?)

I'm another that doesn't change handbags.

My bag is a small cross body one and only contains: purse, smartphone, sanitary protection, small coin purse (containing some money - in case my purse is stolen or debit card doesn't work!), pen, keys, inhaler & batteries (for my hearing aids).

Trying to get a folding fabric bag in a pouch for clothes shopping as I live in Scotland and we currently are charged 5 pence per carrier bag but the ones that I have looked at all have long handles. I am looking for a small one with short handles. My mum has one that's ideal but it was a gift so don't know where it was purchased. In the meantime I'll just borrow that! :)

What does everyone else carry around in their handbags? Some people have such large bags! :)

I only have one handbag and that I use reluctantly...........For 'special occasions' I have a tiny Tul@ string purse which I can put a bit of cash or debit card in:o

I use to iron tea towels until I discovered 'ranger rolling':D
