I can get rid of everything as she doesn't want any of it, suggested women's refuge but I'm not sure they'd want baby stuff? I've Moses baskets, toys, high chairs etc?

Fr**gle or sell on local FB page or do you have a local branch of NCT with a sale coming up??

Our local womens refuge accepts practially anything as they have a fast turnover of women with the babies and children and they tend to take things with them when they move on. I've taken cots, sheets, towels, toys, all sorts!

I had a bad experience with local WR - arranged to take some toys and baby stuff round to them and they picked over everything and were very sniffy about it. What they did take appeared on a local selling site about a week later.....when I tackled them about it they claimed to know nothing about it saying that they had passed stuff on so the women in the refuge must be selling stuff on..........I would have happily sold the stuff myself and donated the money................ I havent donated since:(

Not too much KMing happening here, RL getting in the way, but everything done has stayed done and I am often wearing, washing and CSing things that I no longer feel joyous in.

Mavvy - such a great result with the sales, I too shed a few tears when I read your account of that lovely man bringing those things in.

Michele - great start on the attics, and so many great things that will help others when you find a home for them too.

1 40 year old sewing machine (no name) here, serviced about 20 years ago because it sounded "clunky" and never used since:eek:

Maman - thank you for the link, I love Elkie, I wonder is she is still touring? will have a check on-line, a great performer we found. Off to look in CD cupboard to see what I can find.

A few days ago I realised that I rarely listen to music now that OH and I are retired and rattling around the house together. When I worked I was often on my own in the office, and was able to listen to CD's while I worked, at home all the main rooms had a CD player and when there on my own they were used most of the time. Since moving back to my home county I have listened to local radio which is a good mix of news, local stuff and music, and although it is great it is no substitute for a good jig around to something lively, or calming the mind with some relaxing classical or world music. Note to self - switch radio off and get listening:D

Going to have a coffee break now then do some cleaning, and hang washing out.
Not sure what else will get kondoed today.

I think my man at the fete would be so pleased if he thought us lot would really learn NOT to save anything for best ;) Lets see if this week we can all wear something we would not wear for everyday normally:)As a tribute to all those people who are no longer around and never got a chance to wear their best  things. and also lets report back on how we feel about wearing it :)
I have put things on and then thought oh no I wont wear this as its too good for x y z and taken it back off. Why is it too good for anything ? Its just in our heads Sunday best and all that jazz I suppose.

So what are you going to wear this week lets free it from our wardrobes and put it on show where the world can see it ;)

I will start tommorow I will be wearing Bright Orange skinny jeans (which I never really wear as I think I will stand out too much and I might get them dirty) and a Black top which has a massive Bow on :rotfl:in Orange and Green sounds Bl**dy awful but its not its very joyful but once again its too good being Ted B*ker and far to good for everyday :o even if it came from a chazzer and cost £2 how sad :(

While being off this week there is one task that I needed to progress to kondo my mental stress. This morning I have spent 3 hours on the phone being sent between various departments and in the end I managed to do a formal complaint so now feel much better.

The rest of the afternoon I will spend time going through the pile of mail in the hallway this will calm my mind and force me to think of something else while forgetting the stress from this morning.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j

I was following some of the original German coverage, it suggested he was 104 so he was joking that he was only half that, so 52. In reality he states that he is somewhere in between but he doesn't want to say as he does not feel defined by it.
