Bit late to the Chair Count Party but here is my tally:
LR - 2 seater sofa, 2 arm chairs, piano stool at the piano
DR - - 4 DR chairs
Conservatory - 2 seater sofa
BR - an odd DR chair that came from a friend who was chucking out years ago and OH now uses to store his clothes as he just cant get how to use hanging space cupboard with many shelves and COD:mad: And a rocking chair which I had when BF my DDs in the middle of the night - keep meaning to move this to the covered decking OH built at the bottom of the garden that catches the morning sun - maybe next spring now!
Office - swivel office chair
DD1 and DD2 BR - both have office swivel chairs at their desks.
Outside - 4 director chairs with wooden table. 2 wrought iron chairs and table. 3 purpose built seating areas in various parts of garden - built to provide sun or shade at different times of the day. We have a largish garden so seating/chairs/tables are dotted about. A hammock and a hanging deck chair type thing that hangs from a low branch in a birch tree and 2 steamer deck chairs.
In 'storage' - a chair which came form my grandparents house and sat in their bedroom from the day they were married until house was cleared over 60 years later. Now to my shame, I know this chair has 'died in storage' but I cant part with it. A LLoyd loom chair also grandparents which I intend to bring into conservatory some day. A fab beech framed chair circa 1970 which is in my shed and I will refurbish when the shed has been kondoed and I will be using in the shedand a chair that is in the attic which I was going to repair but having now thought about it I will put on Fr**gle. Also 3 camping folding chairs which are in one of the outhouses are are used when we are camping!!
OK probably more chairs than we need - when we have more than 4 around the DR table then the piano stool and OH's chair robe come into play.
Sewing machine - 1 and waiting for a repair from OH.............
We are a hanky free household............. am not a germ free freak but hankies ( and if truth be known also toilet brushes, so we dont have those either) leave me cold and just a little bit squeamish....:oBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Morning all
Well done on the fantastic amount raised Mavvy.
Weather looking nice again so plan to finish the front garden this morning.
Not sure if it was a dream or just an early morning mull over while I was semi asleep but I was " doing the loft" in my early hours ramblings.
Once awake I finished making the dream catcher I'd promised one of the teachers as a class room decoration for the new term. (Which starts next week) I'd better get a move on with the other one as I promised two.
Re loft/attic ladders please be careful all, can't remember if I mentioned it but my over the road neighbours ladder colapsed a few weeks ago with her on it and she fractured two vertebra thankfully her spine wasn't damaged and she's mobile but still in a lot of pain, and has to be VERY careful till she's healed properly.
I love the idea of a sewing machine named pearl, glad I was t drinking tea when I read that.SPC~12 ot 124

Morning all
Loving the sewing machine names 'Pearl' how funny is that. I am going to buy a sewing machine been doing surveys to get vouchers and am up to just over £80 so will keep going up to £100 and hope I can get something pretty basic for that
Got to sort myself out today and start shifting some of the larger items from the fete. Including 8 spider plants  How retroand 8 pretty large Christmas cacti so lets hope people can think ahead and grab them for gifts
at 50p each a pretty frugal gift
So lets see if I can shift some would be a shame to see them die and that might happen if they are in my care for too long
Spent all day yesterday cleaning the house as had done nothing for at least a week :rotfl:Looking ok (ish) now.
Better get on with it as the dog is laying in the very small gap by the door in the room of doom. Sighing and looking at me as if to say get on with it women (He is a Bulldog) and has the space that a Pug would struggle to get in :rotfl:
So plants out on the bottom of the drive and then tackle it !!!

Loft update!
I went in the smaller loft, had a good look round as to what is actually up there (not easy as the way the rafters are cross crossed its like an assault course) Pulled out a tv and 2 printers, and took them straight to the tip, didn't even faff about trying to sell them and I know our local charity shop doesn't take them.
I found all of the children's school/college/uni stuff and bagged them up into those big checked shopping bags, in 3 different colours 1 for each child. 8 bags altogether 😳 My 10 yr old sorted as we went along, the older 2 who don't live at home have a lovely job to do next time they visit! Put the bags back in the loft neatly in a far corner. Hoovered up the resulting mess, bagged up rubbish and binned, tidied up, this took 3 1/2 hours and I was shattered.BUT it's a start, my eldest daughter who owns most of the baby stuff up there has said I can get rid of everything as she doesn't want any of it, suggested women's refuge but I'm not sure they'd want baby stuff? I've Moses baskets, toys, high chairs etc?
More to do today as my OH is working from home (I won't go in the loft with nobody else around) plus got to fit in the dreaded school shoe shopping 😳0 -
Brilliant Mavvy :T:T:j:jSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Morning all konverts ... Sun is out at the moment but I don't expect it to stay out for long!
Have made my list of things I need to do today and hopefully there may be time to do some random kondoe.
The chair saga has made me chuckle only because I'm having a few people round tonight and have realised I don't have enough chairs! Luckily there is a stash at mums who always keeps stuff in case they come in useful!Don’t put it down - put it away!

Well done, sounds like a very productive day!Our local womens refuge accepts practially anything as they have a fast turnover of women with the babies and children and they tend to take things with them when they move on. I've taken cots, sheets, towels, toys, all sorts! Thanks for the reminder actually, all the clothes I've cleared out can go there. Was going to try and sell some of the Fat Face/White Stuff bits but think they are in greater need than I am. Will call my contact now.
