Chairs:
2 + 3 seat couch
1 computer chair
1 ladderback that was used as a computer chair till 3 weeks ago.
All in the LR, wondering about giving the ladderback one back to my mum.
*ETA: flatmate has a chair in his bedroom, but doesn't count as its not mine
I thought I had help tomorrow with some things, sadly I no longer have the help. So I can't really do too much as my energy levels are pretty low and erratic atm. The mess seems to upset me at night, while during the day its just annoying, suppose it means I should get on!:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -

Looking at my short list of chairs - I live in a 2 bed flat. No dining room or conservatory or patio, which cuts down a lot of potential chairs
Its just all the other stuff that is spilling everywhere!:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -
I've fallen off the bandwagon recently but today kondoed 2 pairs of shoes, 1 towel (unnamed) plus 1 unwanted free travel pack, all to charity. I binned some crumpled up wrapping paper and gift tags and have re organised what's left. Some other bits have gone too. I've been away for a bit so no good Kondo out put for a while. To make up for it I've Kondoed my nail polish collection as I treated myself whilst away to some more colours in a new make that I'm loving as it goes on well in a single coat and lasts a week on my toes. I decided that whilst I had space for for all my nail polish, I was less likely to wear the makes that need two coats, now I have my new love. I did feel guilty as I was releasing some polishes I'd never worn but I decided it didn't matter. There were ones from years ago that I could still remember being in the shop buying them, and feeling joy at the colours. Other ones I know suit me but for some reason are just not not being used. I had the pleasure of owning them and now someone else can have the pleasure of wearing them.
I have kept some from other makes which I have also loved in wear (including some as yet unworn shades that make my heart sing when I hold them).
I did the Kondo whilst painting my nails with one I had bought over a year ago, been overjoyed with, but not actually tried. When I wore it I found it annoying to use and I'm not as in love with it on my toes so it can go too!

PS: Glad my earlier post gave you a smile - I knew I'd need to be explicit after I'd written it knowing how your minds work lol xSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
I've done a quick mental count of 27 proper chairs/sofas but that doesn't count storage chests/benches with cushions on the top that often sit people at parties or step stool or garden furniture. Obviously we're so old and doddery we need to sit down a lot!:rotfl:
Ploughed on with the fabric stash today and then moved on to embroidery silks. All these give me joy and have homes although they may be temporary. What I'm finding hard is that I really enjoy sewing, embroidery, knitting so I want to keep the 'tools of the trade' but I don't know what to make with them that would give me joy. Need ideas.0 -
OMG I cant believe all these chairs :rotfl:We must have enough to fill a large warehouse
GQ You have the least chairs and I have the second least so far :rotfl:I am proud of us.
Chairs do get on my nerves as they just get in the way and you have to move them to hoover and clean :rotfl:and they take up so much space thats why I kondoed 2 from the dining set (the carvers) and 1 from the spare room (just used it to chuck carp on ) and the chair that was in the bathroom when I thought about that one I couldnt see why it was there apart from being a dumping ground for more rubbishDoes anyone sit on a chair in the bathroom ? I also remember now I also got rid of a tub chair that was lurking around in the lounge
So I kondoed 5 from the house :A and they are not ever being replaced

15 'seats' in my house, which is a lot for one person! However you couldn't use all of them at the same time, only six are portable dining chairs. Two of them are antique spoon-back chairs which I reupholstered myself, they give me great joy. Ahem, we'll gloss over the 'projects' in the garage which may have died in storage!
Maman, I know what you mean about projects to give you joy, I love sewing and knitting but need a purpose. I make presents for friends (whether they want them or not!) eg one year I made Christmas stockings and filled them with little goodies. Not sure I'd do that post MK though. I'm making a machine patchwork quilt for a friend at her request, I also make pencil cases, bags etc to sell for charity. I'm knitting some gloves for my sister's birthday, and I find hand-knitted socks are popular.
There are a few charities which ask for knitters to provide goods, either blankets for overseas or for very tiny babies, I mean to look into this when current projects are done. Really, I think it's whatever brings you joy - find what makes you happy. Since I revealed that I can sew I've been asked to help friends with fancy dress costumes etc. I have taught my friend and her 10yr old daughter to use a sewing machine and I'm really proud of that!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone.
