My sons, both Adults like to keep their rooms tidy, this means anything they don't want they put in the loft ( converted to spare room with huge storage down both sides in eves) I completely emptied both sides & piled it in the middle of room. Told them to see if they wanted anything. I now only have neatly boxed up stuff in a quarter of said space.
They threw all their school stuff.0 -
Yes I thought that when I saw her pantry but she has some good ideas. I couldnt label a drawer with snacks it would be snaffled and empty in no time in this house!
Great that you are on board and starting your kondoing adventure
however dont let your mild ocd get worse it can easily turn into a problem
this is to help you get free and out the house doing stuff you love.
edit - hoarding is a form of OCD
Don't worry Jinny, it extends only to being a clean and neat freak and having a problem with excessive "stuff". Fortunately hubby is that way too or then I would have issues (the only time I struggle is when I live with those who aren't this way). I'm already pretty free of "things", but having them beautifully stored is very appealing.
It was a picture to behold after going to the grocery store.... both of us at the dinner table folding carrier bags!Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
My Mother saved my school reports from primary school. On my 50th she gave them to everyone while we were out for meal. Great laughs all round. Don't think I'd do that to my boys. The beautiful photo album through the ages of me & family I would was a fab idea & gives me great joy0

I have now done my camisole/ vest drawer which revealed some nice surprises:
- three pairs knickers (repatriated to rightful home and not thrown away)
- a long lost and much loved little leopard print footsie / stocking (so much loved that I had saved the other 'just in case' its twin should show up)
- three vest tops didn't make the grade and were biffed out to the chazzer bag
- another made a leap to safety in the swimwear department
- I now have an empty drawer into which I can put my scarves - yay!!
Did 'we' have a favoured way for folding or rolling tights (mostly opaques)? I'm not sure what to do with mine - there's an overspilling tangled mess I need to deal with asap. LOLMortgage

Will be dropping a couple of bags off the charity shop this morning and pop into B&ms to look for some drawer dividers.
Maybe to save money if you have a shoe shop near you to ask for unwanted boxes. Childrens and adults. You can wrap them in nice paper yoo toob videos will instruct.
I had drawer organisers from b and m they were a tad flimsy.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Kiwisaver
Just roll or fold them up from the toes you can't stand them up
Because the top is wider
To roll or fold anything up just try to make a rectangle first
I went on yoo toob to look for videos and wish I hadn't it fair put me off my lunch!!!!

Thanks Jinny, I'll have a play around with them tomorrow and see what I prefer. I had a quick look on the toob and quite like the look of this method for folding tights

Ok, so just ordered blackboard stickers after watching the video with the overly perky american lady (anyone else notice the large plastic container labelled "Pain Relievers"??). Then I tried ranger rolling hubbys undies.... then mine.... then a pair of socks. I believe after trying it, I'll be doing all of them tomorrow.
This is exciting stuff (for someone who already has mild OCD).
Could you please put a link to that video so it can go on the Pintrest Board.
Thank you

I knew a church lady years ago who was a back-stabbing b*tch. She went to a Charismatic Church (this was in South Africa, I don't know if they have those here, but I presume it's one where they wave their arms in the air). Horrible woman. She died on the loo like Elvis.
I wonder if she looked a little flushed?- MSE Forum Achievements:
