:D Sooo, keep your eyes open at the checkouts of the land, to see if that other person withdraws a samosa'd placcy bag from pocket or handbag. You can catch their eye and whisper Kondo? discreetly to see if they're in the Kult.

Who knows, it could be the start of a friendship. Or some very funny looks from the bemused other party, lol.:rotfl:

I've been lurking in and out of this thread for a few days, filing away ideas in my head for when I get a chance (read: can build up enough energy & motivation) to start. I have two wardrobes and 2 very large chests of drawers full to bursting with clothes. I also know I own in excess of 50 pairs of shoes. I am terrible sales shopper/bargain hunter and if I find clothes or shoes that are cheap I grab them. I'll often wear them a few times in quick succession and then they hang forgotten in my wardrobe. Worse with shoes! I gave away 5 big bags to charity shops last year but I know there is heaps of stuff that survived that cull but hasn't been worn since, so it'll be time for that to go.

My 2 bed flat is a tip and it is definitely time for a mass clear out. We have things in boxes that we moved with 4 years ago. My MIL is also about to move house (to a much smaller property) and has a) told us there are things at her house that are ours that we'll need to reclaim and b) is trying to give us various bits of furniture & other items. We're hoping to move to a bigger place in the next few years so will need furniture, but don't really have the space for anything now.

I'm going to start gently by trying the carrier bag samosa folding tonight and hopefully have a blitz this weekend.

Just a suggestion - would it be possible to put a link to the very useful Pinterest post in the first post/first page? I saw it a few days ago but have just gone back at least 4 or 5 pages but can't find it, so ended up googling bag folding!

I've been Kondo-ing like mad. I can't stop! Reading all these posts makes me think that maybe there will be a future need for Kondo Anonymous!

I've just watched the 'fitted sheet folding' as I want to tackle my airing cupboard, but I am disappointed as this is how I fold mine anyway. I wanted to do something new :( I'm not sure about the folding of bed sets into one pillowcase as I can't see how it will all fit. Anyone else managed it with Kingsize sets?

I do it with double sets (saw the tip on MSE a few years ago) and there's loads of spare space in the pillow case.

People seem to be starting off samosa folding placky bags before
    Getting hooked on Kondo
Perhaps we should start a kind of belt system
    Like a martial art
Placky bags being the first belt
ranger rolling tea Towels next level
    Then tee shirt rolling next
Ok I admit it I've lost it!!! Lo

I didn't think that I would be able to fit a kingsize set, including fitted sheet into a standard pillowcase but you can. I have even manage to fit a heavyweight flannelette set into a pillowcase with room to spare.
  • Evening Everyone! I have a quick question about Ranger Rolling.... has anybody tried rolling basic jumpers? I would like to do this but am worried that the bottom will stretch when I use it to secure the roll.

:) I think you would ruin the bottom of the jumper by ranger-rolling, but they should be just fine with conventional rolling, not too tight. HTH.
