I kondoed the food cupboards in the kitchen today. Embarrassingly I've freed up things like the remains of the golden syrup which went OOD in 2008  I knew I hadn't baked in a long time but that long! I've given the cupboard a nice clean and filled a carrier bag for the food bank. Now I'm just draining remains of sauce bottles and some OOD tins for the recycling. My much emptier cupboard is far more joyful so I hope it will stay this way. I do needed to go back to the book and see where I'm supposed to be but so far I'm making definite progress through komono subcategories.

Katsu - I fed the seagulls on Thursday with some sponge fingers dated 2003. They didn't seem to mind!
Mav - wouldn't we all have loved to be a fly on the wall after that call :)
Well done to Mummyroysof3 and congratulations to grannykate.
Rhubarb & Ginger jam looks OK & I hope its setting well. I don't like jams too 'stiff'.
I'm going to try to Kondo my tall cupboard in my utility & use it to store my cleaner & mops instead of umpteen extension leads & lightbulbs - we shall see.......!

mav that's hilarious- poor gary :rotfl:
    Lovely win, granny!

Well, tonight after my shower, I was almost laying my trousers (only worn for a couple of hours) on the chair, like I always do when I'll wear them the next evening, when I turned and hung them in my (half empty) wardrobe!!!

    WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME???

GrannyKate Congratulations on the win - what a fantastic prize! :T

Mav Poor Gary :( Can you let Gary the Towel out of the airing cupboard to join the celebrations :D.

I would really, really love some rhubarb & ginger jam heated up over vanilla icecream. I am in deepest, darkest Spain. Not gonna happen :(

I kondo'd a small chest of drawers to area next to bins tonight - I expect it will be gone in the morning :T.

    .

Gallygirl I cant I am not the proud owner of 'GARY' the towel :( He is relaxing in Grey Queens airing cupboard and only she can set him free to join in ;)
Maybe she can swap him over with Tropical towel and allow him out to play :rotfl:

:) I am indeed the custodian of GARY and TROPICAL towels and was pmsl last night reading about the merciless mavvying of the telesales people. Wherever telesales types are gathered together, these stories will be told, and her phone number circulated. It will be pre-programmed into auto-diallers as an automatic avoid, with an entry alongside it saying Here Be Dragons.

Most excellent win, GrannyKate, most excellent. You wouldn't be in the market for a lightly-used blue & white towel, by any chance? It is famous..............:rotfl:

    Morning Klan of kondites :D

The poor telesales people have the poster who said' we must make time ' to blame :rotfl:As that is still in my head and yes its very true we must make time to have some cheap /free fun how very MSE :)
But 'It doesnt matter ' if we cant at that time just get them to ring back at a time that suits you :) Thats what I do and that way it puts you in control :D The next one who rings I maybe a timeshare seller that should keep them on their toes ;) But we will see which route the call goes down :)

I am still finding the kife (kondo life) joyful and stress free and fun.Almost like a weight has lifted off my shoulders :)Which feels amazing and weird.Just from clearing some carp and junk :o from house and head !

Still kondoing clothes and will be for a long time I think but I know in my head what needs to go really.Have another bin bag to go to chazzer.I have also been though shoes again and they are very much thinned out :) When this bag goes that will be the 7th  bin bag of clothes and shoes to go out the door and I still have too many left :( Crazy the amount I had in the first place. But I bet most of us are the same :o

If I move I still believe I could be packed and out of here in 2 hours or maybe a bit less which is so good to know :) Drawers still empty :) So carry on kondoing everyone you will get ups and downs but keep going the end result is worth all the blood sweat and tears put into it :) I promise x

Still need to liberate some more of my towels so can't give a home to anymore. Love the word Mavvying - think we should adopt it in relation to telesales calls. I once listened to someone waffle on for 5 minutes about how he was definitely not selling anything. When he paused I said 'oh dear I am afraid I only talk to people who are genuinely selling things' and put the phone down in the silence that followed.
Had a fair few expenses lately so glad to top my savings up with the win. Do some comps most days but haven't had such a good win for years.

Small people today so not much kondoing will be done.

  • Mavvying! I love it - you lot have had me in stitches, I am dying to get a 'Gary' phone call, normally there's one a day but I haven't had any for ages. I think this is brilliant and so much better than getting cross as I usually do.

Bossymoo, don't be scared. Just relax - the MK method is gently working on you*. I am now putting my clothes away each night because the sight of them irritates me (hasn't bothered me for the last umpty-tum years!)

*sorry, I've just realised that phrase sounds horribly like a certain medical product!
