Hi all Konverts!
Congratulations to all who are working through it. Hugs all round for everyone who needs them.
I haven't posted much for a while, as have been wrestling with paperwork - literally one day when a great pile of folders fell over and blocked my escape from the Room of Doom!
Some of it is slow work as I have been shredding the paperwork from the winding-up of my Mum's estate. Needs frequent refuelling with cups of tea and fresh air gained by dog-walking.
So far I have filled the recycling bin once and have a goodly stash of shredded stuff awaiting redeployment into the garden. Only a 4-drawer filing cabinet and three archive boxes to go, now.
The place is so jammed up with Stuff that there's nowhere to put it all when I remove it from its hidey holes to work on it.

But at least the clothes have remained Kondo'ed, and a joy to behold.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Hi Kondo klan
I have had a lovely day today busy but fun
Gary the manager from the cold call company phonedI let him waffle on for about 5 mins without saying one thing (a first for me) Then I cut in and said 'can I ask you a question' Please go ahead said Gary.So I said 'Did you have a towel with your name on please ? Or have you still got a towel with your name on :rotfl:Mmm No he said.Oh are you sure ? Then I launched in to the question of GQs 'GARY'the towel
That we needed to know why it was in the jumble or it could have been a charity shop. What did he think :rotfl:Did he think Garys mum had got it for Christmas for him or could it be his wife.:rotfl:
Everytime he started to talk about the carp he was trying to sell me I said I just cant get this out my head that the towel could have been yours and are you really sure its not ?
He got as far as trying to book an appointment for his salesman to call and I said oh good maybe he will know the answer of how the Gary towel came to be in someones flat who isnt even called Gary do you think he will. Then I said is his name Gary too ? No he said.Oh I said is his name tropical ? :rotfl::rotfl:As we also have a towel that looks very tropical :rotfl:
Bang the phone went down after 28 minsWho would have thought Gary (the manager ) not the towel could have humoured me for that length of time
And who would have thought I could talk about a bl**dy towel for so long
So heres waiting for the next callI am making time whenever it maybe

This had me in hysterics - almost (but not quite) made me want to go to charity shops and collect named items to use for similar fun.
Just had YS mince with bottom of fridge veggies made by DH. Yummie.
Kondoed notice boards in study and medicine cupboard. First Aid kit ready for holiday with 5 year old on 28th and lots of ancient bandages and potions thrown out.

Mav, that's brilliant! Unfortunately I'm not having a chance to have that sort of fun because all the calls I'm getting at the moment are the silent type.
iQueen, grrrr to the horrid consultant. So not helpful when you have a diagnosis and need answers.
Had a busy but lovely weekend so not much Kondoing going on. Went to a bit of a do at friends home yesterday and wore a top which had been hidden for many years in my wardrobe and it was much admired by all.
Tax return was submitted online last week and final papers sorted out, boxed and put away in the loft today so much more space in my living room now for me to spread out the next lot of papers! More shredding done. Won't be able to do much tomorrow as another busy day coming up, but it's still all moving in the right direction.
Ordered and received two bags last week but both are way too big for the purpose so have sent them straight back. One of them does bring me joy, but there is no point in keeping something which isn't right for the purpose when I am so short of space. Am very proud of myself for being realistic and sending it back. Will keep the older, very tired bags for now until I can find joyful replacements which are the right size.
It's good to hear the positive effect that people who are further on in their Kondo journey are experiencing. I desperately need to feel more calmness and peace in my life and can't wait to get to that point.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -

Mav What a laugh! Poor Gary.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.
