:T Lovely to have you with us, Jill. We should warn you that you'll find yourself sneaking off in random moments to peek at the drawers in the drawer and marvel over their neatness, it really is addictive. And so fantastically easy when you pack for a trip, to take out the right number of undies and socks etc and they fit so neatly into the luggage.

It starts here and it fans out all across your life, it really is an amazing process. Looking forward to hearing your feedback about how KM is going for you.

Greyqueen - you could always take the legs off and use the top as a shelf....you can see I'm not keen on getting rid of furniture too!!

Well... Now that dd has said I can get rid of her baby Annabel bits I have been looking for a small table for side of sofa. Drove past a charity shop and they had one I have been looking at but good not justify the expense. I stopped and thought of it's less than a fiver I will get it. It was £3.50 so really please and can sort next pile in room!

Got home to find my tax rebate had come. I was so pleased I had to kondoe some wine!

    :D Oooh, you enabler, you!

Nope, there's no room for shelves here, and they can all too often become roosts for Stuff you shouldn't have kept in the first place. Not going the shelf route, there are only two in the flat, small quarter-circle ones. The living room one holds the phone and the bedroom one holds the alarm clock and glasses.

Speaking of glasses, I am limbering up for a morning of glasses-choosing. Have decided to sample the offers of 3 optical chains and 3 independants to get a ballpark figure of what I will have to pay. Got complicated lenses (varifocal, myopia & astigmatism) so the lenses are where the majority of the price will be, frames are pretty reasonable these days, don't you find?

Have been pending the glasses-hunt for a fortnight since the eye test as I have to be waiting in the flat all afternoon for a tradesman and thus cannot go up to the allotment this morning, or I'd not have enough time for what I want to do.

    Morning all
    Welcome Jill.
Not sure what today's plans are yet, want to have a general tidy round in prep for the weekend. Think we are playing washing machine Tetris between two of the DDs DD1 thought hers had died so bought a new one and took the old one to work to await disposal having got the new one installed it appeared to have the same fault (turned out the outlet pipe was blocked) DD3 has just told me hers has died but she can't at the mo afford a new one, DD1 still has her now slightly grubby wm sitting at work annoying her because it apparently isn't dead after all. So at the weekend we are collecting resurrected wm from DD1 lugging it up to DD3s flat (hoping it does work!) then Lugging her definately dead one home with us to put on our front for the local collector of metal scrap. Should fill a couple of hours!
Going to nip in attic and collect a Couple of ornaments for the Brikabrac stall so the kondoed cookery books and anything I find can go to work with me today.
I have a bag of paperwork from the martial arts club we used to run to go through and hopefully kondo lots of.

Had a bit of a move round in the kitchen, not really kondoed anymore but because of yesterday's kondoing there was room in the cereal cupboard for DHs gluten free pop tarts and all of his gluten free cereal stash from upstairs has fitted on the was empty overspill cereal shelf.
I've found some more bits from upstairs to go to school with me today and I've brought the paperwork bag down that I want to kondo. I'm hoping that apart from the bookwork, the receipts and the registers everything else can go.
Just got really annoyed with a spam call, after wishing me a very lovely and bautiful good morning she told me she was ringing about the several hundred thousands of my pounds back into my bank so could she just have the details if I would be so lovely. I said telephone preference services, she said she wasn't calling from them so I explained what they were and she hung up.
Off to make coffee and do paperwork now.

I was thinking along the same lines, but you could hang it flat as art instead of a shelf. Sometimes it's fun to enable :D

DH is revamping my utility room as I've 're-arranged' so now have room for a double undersink cupboard that will hold the laundry baskets and buckets. It looks as if I'll have a bit more spare space so hopefully I may be able to re-arrange my tall cupboard so it can take my cleaner and, mops & brooms etc to save having them propped up in the loo! I'll have to wait until he's finished fitting worktops etc but I'm itching to go and hopefully kondo some stuff out the door ;)
