Reading the link for our great leaders recent shopping trip thank you for that Mollylou. I would predict the next book will be on dieting as the amount of times she said she was small. and selected dresses in extra-small and petite :DAlso so small everything was handed to her husband to carry :rotfl:

I think, if you read the article, you'll find he's really fulfilling the traditional role of 'wife'.
He may be described as 'husband, manager, and photographer', but effectively she's earning the money and he's holding her shopping :cool:0 -
Big weight lifted off my shoulders - a whole bootful of stuff taken to the tip. None of it could be recycled and it's been clogging up space in the house waiting for a weekend when it wasn't raining hard. Now gone and it's a lovely feeling. Also - this whole MK thing may be rubbing off on the OH. He let me Kondo fold his clothes and even let me prise some elderly items from his grasp at the same time. Baby steps ... ... oops, sorry that's Flylady, not KonMari LOLLooking ahead0

What a successful weekend. Had a car boot sale this morning and made £58 but more importantly we got rid of a lot of things. I took everything that we didnt sell to the tip, except for 3 things that I am going to ebay.
We sold some of DSs much loved cuddly toys and the rest went into the salvation army collection bin at the recycling centre. I mentally said goodbye to each one, remembering when my boy was little and loved them.
We actually have space on the shelves in the hall cupboard now!!!
But there is much more work to do. I continue with paperwork this week. Its taking a lot of time.0 -

Must admit I read MK's shopping trip for the tips, which make sense.
At the same time, I felt decidedly uncomfortable with the other stuff coming through. The fact that she was promoting a particular brand and designers, which often leads to over-stuffed wardrobes. Her own 'branding' through the clothes she wears, which didn't sit very comfortably (with me) with clothes bringing joy - surely she must get sick of always wearing something white? It also appeared like a typical impulse shop, with nothing specific in mind.
Worst of all was the feeling that she was in the shop with the perfect accessory, a footman-husband.
Previously, I felt that she was a little whimsical and OCD, but now some of her shine seems a bit tarnished, however, it won't stop me benefitting from her method.yellowbear wrote: »Where can I get me one of those husbands...?

Absolutely. As a lone-parent, I often said that I needed a wife! :rotfl:Needs, NOT wants!

I queen I pinched the saying 'I'll get me coat' from a programme years ago called the fast show. A bloke used to come out with inappropriate statements and said I'll get me coat and leave
So not original but I say it after a quip hope it's not annoying lol”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

The other thing is iQueen how does she stay clean wearing White :eek:I would look like I had been dragged though a hedge backwards after about 2 mins
Cant see Marie wearing an apron or overall just wouldnt bring her joy I dont think
As she said its like her brand and what her clients expect. I can forgive her as I love the kondo factor and it really does work !
Took another 2 full bin bags of kondo'd clothes to the man at the bootsale todayAnd all I picked up was a couple of bits for the T and T stall at the fete. I now feel I am really nearly there with the clothes a tiny tad off joyful

I've heard it many times over the years - I had a friend, who regularly used it, and it always made me laugh... shame I had to kondo her eventually, for other reasons! :rotfl:
It's definitely not annoying me - it brightens up my days! :TThe other thing is iQueen how does she stay clean wearing White :eek:I would look like I had been dragged though a hedge backwards after about 2 mins

Silly me! Why should I care what she does to promote herself and brands? It's her life. :rotfl:
I suppose I felt that it was rather anti-Kondo!
I agree with you, I can ignore this, because I too love the Kondo Factor and the way it's changing my home, my life and me. Bargain! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Needs, NOT wants!
