Love the trash or treasure idea... Might pinch it!

Quick update... Put the drawers back in and realised that the handles needed to be put right way round as were delivered with them on inside of drawer. Dd1 came to investigate the noise from the electric screw driver followed by her wanting to have a go. This meant I could start to fold some of the clothes in a kinda kondo style.. I know you guys have talked about the space saved but OMG can't believe it. There will definitely be one drawer if not more empty. We got drawers instead of a wardrobe with kondo in mind and it means she can put a lamp and her bits on top which the wardrobe was too high for. Her room looks so less cluttered.

Had to chuckle as dd2 has just got up asking where her special torch has gone. She means the screwdriver as it has a light on the front so before bed she says she was sat playing with it like a laser light!!

I am ear marking part of the space in the drawers to put in next years uniform. I know this may sound early to some people but I have a zero hours contract and as it is term time job don't get money in July/August and part of September so buy bits now so I don't get stressed as to where I will get the money from!

Quite a few jobs to do today including the mammoth pile of washing that seems to her come from nowhere.
Don’t put it down - put it away!

Ok, true confession - I am one of the people who once bought those towels marked 'Face' and .... you know. They were a present for a friend, the present was from a group of us, and it was part of a long-running tease that I won't go into here but they were entirely appropriate in the circumstances. I should think she put them in the next donation bag at the earliest opportunity!

I used to have a dehumidifier known as Mr de H. And the woodburning stove is called Freda. Back on topic, I need to do some general clearing-up before I Kondo any more, I seem to have homeless items gathering in the spare room and I need to sort charity donations from stuff that is genuinely just waiting for the right storage solution. I can't cope with too much stuff around these days, which is strange after years of living with Stuff everywhere!

Then I remembered that I do have one more, which says SPORT,

:p 'Sides, it'll give GARY and the gang a bit more room in the cupboard.

You just reminded me... I have a towel called HOSPITAL! It's white with its name woven down the centre in red, of course. It was a 'gift' from a friend, who was working there at the time!

I cant think if I have any household items named(im well jel!)
However I cause great amusement by talking to household appliances. My Henry hoover for instance I always say ' come on Henry dear, I have a job for you' :o I think its because he has a cute face:D

Do you think Garys dad would be called Terry?........ ill get me coat

My daughter, Henriett@ has a pink Hetty, naturally! :D

I'm cracking up again! :rotfl:I think you could just say you'd washed the kitchen floor, followed by "I'll get me coat", and I would be laughing! I have a vision of you rushing to the traditional curly coat stand, pulling it over as you drag off your coat and beating it out of the front door! :rotfl:

the poster with the tellys...im thinking of getting rid of my extra one. Theres just sport sport sport on the main one
french open tennis for two whole days then footie tonight aaaargggh:mad: not my telly so cant complain
but the spare one there never anything decent on. I hate soaps except the Archers, game shows and as for bgt on for two bloomin hrs last saturday. Cheap tv......time to kondo and stick to the archers and reading

I kondoed my TV Licence over 18 months ago, because I got sick of the shallow carp, and now Paxo's been kondoed! So I have 4 TVs to kondo now. I don't even watch 'catch-up' on my laptop... because I have no idea what programmes are on! Nor do I care. :rotfl:

(I do have an analogue radio in every room, except the bathroom and loo! ;))

Books and laundry today - I maybe away for sometime! :o

Greetings from Dubai where it is 01.20 and 35 degrees

Though I am continuing on to Hong Kong which is cooler and wetter. :(

I managed to get everything into a fairly large cabin bag and a 25 litre rucksack - but haven't got anywhere near as many shoes as greenbee.

21 degrees and 7am here on the east coast of the US.

I'm in the same hotel for 5 nights so have unpacked completely. I may regret this on Thursday morning... I'm then off to various bits of Canada where temperatures will be similar. And I have no room to acquire more stuff!

Now we know Luxor4t ;) Horses for courses and all that :D

As I made the Trash and Treasure game up of course you can pinch it.I have never seen it done before or since so will be something new for your fetes :)
I get the bags from ebay. Put what ever carp in the bags and staple a raffle ticket to the bag closing the bag with the staple.Bigger items like Wine etc just put a ticket on and leave on the table.
I do 50 boys (blue tickets) always nice things bubbles.pens.pencils etc
50 girls (pink) rings, pens, purses, jewelley.
A couple of bigger items Games, kits, and things like that just on the table with a ticket on them
100 adults (green) 99% carp (and they love it )
When you do the bags put them in order on table or its a nightmare to find them.
Have a laugh and make people open them on the stall and the laughing gets loads of other (punters) over :D

We also do Wine or Water with wrapped up (in newspaper) empty wine bottles filled with water and 1 in 6 a full bottle ! and they just pick a bottle :) on empty bottles you must write do not drink !
    Both games are a £1 a go

Did £140 wine or water sold out in 45 mins :eek:But we couldnt be bothered to wrap any more
and £210 on the trash or treasure sold out in 80 mins :)

So great games to raise good money just takes a bit of time to prepare do it in plenty of time :D

Great way to Kondo all that junk out to a good cause ;)

I think something has died in my cellar. The smell is awful :lipsrseal_pale_ but it's so cluttered down there I'll never find it.

I'm going against MK but I think in the summer holidays I'm going to hire a skip and hoik everything out of there.

Hmm spoke too soon when I said it would be cooler - it's bliddy boiling :rotfl:

Anyone else a teensy bit disappointed that our leader actually bought something - and that she was clearly promoting a brand.

I was very good with the freebie overnight gubbins (LOL that autocorrected to Gibbons, I don't want any of those) they give you on aircraft. Took the bits I would use (hand cream, a mini perfume and so forth), and put them in my hand luggage, left the boxes and the vanity case thing they came in. Frustratingly, I decided to watch "The Missing" and we landed 20 mins before the end of the last episode. But I inow more or less what happened.

I seem to have Kondoed my colleague, who had to fly via Bangkok and so i haven't seen him since Dubai :p

Have a lovely afternoon and evening folks, from the Skype call to OH it looks a lovely day,
I wanna be in the room where it happens

We have a towel called "hotel intercontinental"

    [/QUOTE]
    :rotfl::rotfl:

    I don't own any named towels :(

We do have ' the messy cupboard' it's been called that for years and even though I have kondoed it and it's no longer messy , we still call it that :D

I have spent most of day in the garden, cutting the grass and general tidying , I've washed my tubs and planters as they were mucky and dusty and now they look lovely :T
