Forgot to say, I did a Maz 9-hour stint yesterday! I sorted out my embroidery stuff - masses! I haven't looked at it for years, as I couldn't access it! :o

Oh, the amazing goodies I discovered! Also, half a sack of old charts and a few projects which had 'died in storage'. All this was from the corner that I 'accidentally' had to move. There was also a huge amount of obsolete parework from my post-grad courses.

I planned to do that paperwork today but, instead I caught up with my laundry... and did some embroidery! (I knackered myself yesterday - well, I am old!)

The paperwork will be done tomorrow - goodness knows how many sacks of recycling will be put out on Friday, but I will have a completely clear corner in the living-room!

Iqueenamazon trade in pay the postage but you need to drop them off, but some books can be worth quite a lot! Well worth a quick look:)

Thanks for that! I'll dig some of my books out and check them - some cost £40+ each! Let's hope they are still up-to-date. (Luckily, they aren't Law or Accounting.) :D

    Evening all.
Haven't really achieved a lot here today but I did fill mils garden rubbish bin with more conifer and I came home with a bag of her obsolete paperwork to shred.
I've been knitting and crocheting over the weekend and have used up 2 more balls of wool from stash.

Well done to Everyone for their brilliant kondoing

    bracelet.jpg

So, i Kondoed the jewellery a few weeks ago - i think I posted here about the bracelet with the half sovereign in that I was left by my favourite Auntie. it had sat in a box for 15 years as it wasn't really my thing. Kondo ing saw me assess it and realise that it would give me joy if it didn't have the sovereign. i also Kondoed a tiny diamond earring, whose mate I had lost. By selling the earring i was able to pay for the adaptation of the bracelet - and I LOVE it. :):D I have sold the sovereign and we are going to buy a picture with it - so double joy. I think Auntie would have approved....

(picture is a funny angle - OH took it so my hand was at the front of the picture - luckily I have slim wrists which could take the reduction in size of the bracelet, although I could have had a couple of additional rings inserted at the back if it hadn't fitted)

Many thanks for advice about Amazon. The books I meant are textbooks (fiction goes to CS bookshop) so it looks as if it would be worth my having a go.
I love the idea of projects which 'died in storage'. A few months ago I threw out samples from classes that I knew I had no interest in finishing. Still got enough 'stuff' to keep me busy for months.

    :) Morning all.

I have been decluttering my bookmarks list by deleting some and collating others into folders. Much easier to find things in there now. I have a terrible habit of hoarding bookmarks for anything which I think is interesting/ will interest me in the future.

I've come to the conclusion that there aren't enough hours in the day for things which interest me, and there's a constant in-flow of interesting stuff, so this is a futile way of holding onto some things.

VJsMum, like the bracelet, very nice, you must be so pleased. I think it's a shame that so many of us hold onto jewellery that we either can't wear (broken/ wrong-sized) or don't like in it's present format. Jewellers can alter stuff, there's a world of possibility out there.

 Rolled home just before midnight last night, and out again tonight playing with the bows and arrows. Do the stuff which makes you joyful in this life and let the housework go hang.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Ok, Konverts, wish me luck. Today I start on the room of doom. Yes, I know that this goes against all the categorisation advice of our dimunitive leader however I have no idea what is even in there to have gathered items with their friends. So it will be a little konmari microcosm all of its own.
Knowing that the binmen come tomorrow, and that little has come out of the room in the last few months (years?), it is likely that recycling, chazzers and rag bags are about to become very full very quickly. If I'm not seen for a bit, will you come and look for me, please?

I think sometimes you have to do it like that - I did the cupboard under the sink on Saturday. I still kept to the principle of keeping categories together though - who knew i had so much leather cleaner and treatment and ask me how often i have cleaned and treated the sofa :D :rotfl: Rinse aid, multi purpose cleaner, 15 year old febreeze (can someone explain why i have still kept that, when I haven't used it in 15 years?). I am ok for washing up liquid, creme cleaner, polish etc for some time to come. And Ant powder, jeez if the ants knew how much i have they would run for the hills - I feel about ants the way GQ feels about slugs :p
