'shopping' Today I had to buy a new piece of furniture to go in the vast empty space in my lounge  DH said what are we going to put in it ? I said nothing no not a thing :rotfl:Dont have anything to put in it

Just needed it to balance up the room and I must say it looks lovely. Have kondo'd the tiny thing that was in its place. Gone to charity
Oh the karma thing happened today. Was dropping off another 2 bags of clothes to the charity shop as we dragged them out of the car found £10 on ground right by us in the carpark
Which we put in the collection box on the counter of the charity shop seemed only right
Happy kondoing
It works it really does

Did the bathroom drawers and medicine cabinet today - found something that expired in 2006!!! Got rid of half a binbag of rubbish. Feel like I'm not making progress fast enough, but finding time is not always easy.0

Marie said to allow up to 6 months so don't worry it's not a race.
I've told hubby that it took years and years for me to accumulate all this stuff so it's going to take time to sort it.

Crafty scholar, the Amazon trade in is good if you can take the parcel, but as I can testify today it can be heavy! They pay the postage but you need to take it either to the post office or a collect plus shop, have used it a few times before and it can be well worthwhile, especially as you can get rid straightaway rather than waiting for them to sell. Having said that I have sold 4 books on Amazon that I only listed yesterday, I run an online business so popping them in the pile to be collected by royal Mail is no hassle, probably one of the few benefits of the business:)
I also dropped about 10 carrier bags of books off at some charity shops today, there are a few on the same street so shared them out. One chap came to give me a hand from one of the shops, definitely looked like he wished he hadn't when I loaded him up with 4 bags!
Despite good progress feel a bit low today, bought myself two bunches of flowers and they definitely give me joy, hopefully my mood will lift, usually quite happy:)0 -

Not cookery books, but still dead centre bullseye.:rotfl:
Actually two bullseyes with the reference to 'used to be'.
Think I need to have a serious look at my bookshelves and a serious think about myself and where/who/what I want to be.
A few years ago, I read that everything in our homes tells people who we are.
Looking at my house, I'm either demented, a hoarder, a seriously lazy housekeeper, or more likely, all three! :rotfl:
However, working on the 'joy' principle, my home will (eventually) only hold my most joyful things, and they will show people why I'm truly happy. :jCraftyscholar wrote: »I wondered about using Amazon trade-in for some of my books, but I wasn't sure about getting them boxed up and sent off.
Books are heavy if I have to get them parcelled up and carried to the post office.
I'm considering this too. Apparently, you get more value for academic/unusual books. Also, I believe Amazon pick them up free. :TNeeds, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

Iqueenamazon trade in pay the postage but you need to drop them off, but some books can be worth quite a lot! Well worth a quick look:)0
