    Hi all

I have massively culled what was in my airing cupboard and several bags have now gone to the charity shop/recycling. Sticking to the category method meant giving the same treatment to the blanket box on the landing. It has taken me most of the day but what a result! I am so pleased. Towels and bedding are now neatly rolled into some storage boxes I had no home for.

Calling it a night now, dog walk then feet up I think.

:) Been pootling around on errands and doing a wee bit of gardening - some weeds got kondo'd and plenty more to be done tomorrow.

I also decided that the top I'm wearing can go to the chazzer once I've laundered it, as it's too short in the body and keeps riding up. If I was thin and lithe and tan, rather than the diametric opposite of those things, I mightn't mind so much, but one has to have some sense of decorum.

Fantastic news on the job, Dusty!! :D:T:T

I've just started 2 very p/t jobs after just over 9 years away from real paid work - exam invigilating in different schools (so it's seasonal, which is great - as getting out of the house just gone 8am with 'done' hair and make up and in smart clothes 4 days a week has been a challenge!!:rotfl::rotfl: At least this way I do it for about 6 weeks and then not again for several months :D

Ha, that is what I have been doing for the last 8 years, invigilating. I will start my last season on Monday for a month until I start my new job. It has been great (I'm a school governor as well so good for inside info) but I would now like a regular income throughout the year and 8 years of staring at kids is more than enough :rotfl:) Good luck.

Didn't get round to making a start on the paperwork today because the usual chores needed to be done. :(

I did drop off 3 boxes and 2 bags of kitchen bits and 1 bag of clothes and shoes to the charity shop this afternoon, though. :j

Other than that, the only KM thing I did today was samosa several plastic bags that I found in the utility room.

Has anyone got any pics to post? I love seeing them for inspiration! :)

    GreyQueen are you recovered now?

OMG paperwork is boring and so long - yes I know I sound like a stroppy 14 year old, I feel like one.

Been at it all day on and off and I still haven't finished what I got out this morning. Culled by approx half. That which is being kept is now back in files and in DHs office cupboard. The difference is very small but I know I just need to keep at it. I can see why the odd day of deviating into other categories is necessary. As I'm doing banking it is not as easy as just recycling it, hoping other paper is easier.

Leaving it for today to do a bit of ironing. Cricket teas tomorrow so limited time but I shall return............

I had a moment this afternoon when I felt really fed up and thought why did I start this? Then it occurred to me that if I do it properly I will never ever have to sort out my airing cupboard again. That thought kept me going!
  • Not doing much true kondoing but today put a pair of trousers plus some greetings cards I won't use into a bag for the charity shop. Also got rid of a few booklets, info leaflets etc. I must be the only person who struggles less with paperwork than other items.

Nope my OH!!!!!!!! He has piles of stuff that is paper based rather than paperwork ..... For me paperwork falls into category of important documents, receipts, statements, policies, certificates etc.Stuff you would shred/burn. For him, and possibly others it's anything that was once wood pulp.......I call it paper ephemera and is the stuff that mainly fills the recycle bin:D
