I'm KNOW that I'm going to find some bodies, too!
But, it does support MK's advice to love the things that bring us joy. Rather than just thanking your court shoes, maybe you should be on your knees, begging forgiveness for your heartless neglect? :rotfl:

I've finally had chance to start reading the book from the library. I'm not even half way through it but it spurred me on to make a start in the conservatory although I know it is not in the order that I am meant to do things I have made a start0

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Clutterfree and jinny, thank you so much for the belly-laughs. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Today, I have gardened and visited pals and have decluttered several bits of paper, card and a photo into a homemade card, in a repurposed envelope, to accompany a birthday gift. In keeping with decluttering and the almost minimalistic values of the recipient, it's a consumable.Oh, and the gift bag was repurposed from last autumn and the wrapping and trimmings from an occasion last week.
Actually, it's a big bottle of gin, she's partial to the odd G & T. Then the bottle gets recycled and no clutter on the premises. Result!
I also found some writing materials which I've given away to someone who actually writes letters and uses B@sildon Bond, so they're well pleased. I've had those things about 15 years already and they're not going to be missed.
Keep up the good work, one and all.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Massive effort and finished kondo-ing my clothes :j . Two more big bags to go to charity shop, and a couple of things to try on Ebay. Including the beautiful silk dress I bought for my nephew's wedding, and only wore a couple of times afterwards - I just don't have the sort of lifestyle for it
, I wish I did.
I did feel a bit sad when I decided not to keep it - it does spark lots of joy, and it still fits, but I don't want it to die in the back of the wardrobe.
I also found a box of scented drawer liners (unused) so relined the drawers under the kondo-folded keepers.
On the plus side, I found that several things I thought wouldn't fit, do :j .
Next week is shoes, handbags, scarves etc.
Wishing everyone a happy weekend, kondo-ing or not.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

I carried on with "the" task today after reading half of the book last night. Two large recycle bags to CS again. Mostly clothes this time and dare I say it most with tags on! I am not going to buy to fit into anymore!
Have a bag to go to M&S swoop bin tomorrow.
My wardrobe has never looked so neat I am sure. The storage drawers under the bed are now empty my side. I couldn't believe what has been lurking in them.
Thank you all for your Kondo-ing encouragement. I feel quite excited with what I have achieved in the last two days and tomorrow is the time to sort out the handbags. I'm not a handbag person so why on earth I have so many is beyond me. All leather and expensive ones too - when I bought them they were anyway. I think a little bit of listing on Gumtree are the order of the day for these tomorrow.
I'm not sure I like the idea of the towels being rolled and stood up. I don't think mine will do that as I always buy sheet size towels :-/. Still the airing cupboard where they are stored is towards the bottom of the list to do.
Back to reading the book ready for tomorrow's "workout".:T0 -

I love the idea of the organisation and neatness unfortunately in my house the only way they would stay like that is if I handed out the towels myself. The men just grab a towel and if it was in the middle of a neatly stacked pile, stands a chance the whole lot would collapse into a heap. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Sorry I can't help much on the shoe storage front. Mine sit on a shelf in the spare bedroom which is by the front door as there is no space in the hallway to put a rack or anything else. I have a pair of boots just standing on the bedroom floor, usually full of spiders, which need a box to live in to keep them in better condition.
I was catching up on posts just now thinking I wasn't making any progress however earlier today I started shredding some old meeting papers and have read some more pages of a quarterly magazine which I've nearly finished so tomorrow I should be able to move onto the next item on the reading pile which is slowly shrinking.
My bedroom is staying much tidier now that clothes are all put away andI can't wait for the rest of my bedroom to be tidier too. I'll not be able to start on that just yet as the paperwork must be done first.
I am picking up single items in other parts of my home when I spot them and sending them on their way if they are no longer loved or needed. So, progress is being made after all!Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
Evening konverts,
Well another large bag to the chazzer, not sure if it is good or not to be greeted in there with " oh, hello again" !!!! Gawd knows what they'll say when I take the next 2 stuffed bags.
Still procrastinating on doing clothes properly, don't get me wrong, have got shut of LOADS, but there is still an awful lot left that don't fit, but back on the diet and put in some time at the gym today so fingers crossed that it won't be too long before they are all bringing me the joy they deserve to do.
That said, out went one handbag, one ancient suede jacket, alas, died in storage (RIP), 2 shirts (very nice but dated and unworn since I stopped wearing a suit 11 years ago), pair of virtually unworn expensive sandals that, while I love them, do most definitely NOT love me! And one black wool tunic/dress that was misshapen from wear and bobbly.
So, ironing is done and all properly folded and put away and am now just kondoing a well earned pinot
Night all
