    Good morning Konverts
    Greyqueen I loved your post
I especially like the phrase you used
    'Consumerism inevitably disappoints'
I too have what I call 'fatigue days' where I just don't have the energy to do much, due to an under active thyroidI
I want my home to be efficient and easy to manage
So on the days I don't have the energy I can just go with it
Or on the days I feel better I'm not going to be bogged down with overwhelm

Simple pleasures.... Walking into a tidy clean kitchen first thing
Is indeed a great start to your day.
I attempt to put my kitchen to bed every night
Straight after tea around about 7pm

I've started my kitchen cupboards and got rid of the fondue set - only used once in 13 years and also the cups and saucers from my wedding china. We have probably used them less than 5 times in 35 years and although I use all the other pieces of the set regularly it's time to let these go and free up cupboard space.

I've also gathered together the art type bits, pens and paints etc. It's taken ages and I'm not going to start yet because I'm sure there are other bits and pieces around to collect up. Has anyone got any good ideas for storing sets of pens so that it's easy to see what you have and to grab them for use? It would need to be attractive too if they were going on display.

I used to think that having lots and lots of clothes would be a luxury, now I realise having space to breathe is the true luxury.

    I agree!:T

I did rearrange my second wardrobe last night and took the cat carriers out and just let my quite small amount of clothes take up both wardrobes. I was listening to a podcast and the woman was describing her closet and it inspired me to take some pet clutter out and put it somewhere else.

There is space between each item of clothing on the hanger and it looks good.

I cannot believe with the amount of decluttering I did in 2014 that I am still finding things to get rid of.:D I have a small house as well.

MY DH was going out yesterday and he needed a plastic bag and I realised I hadn't samosaed the most recent ones and he tried to get one but then reached for the samosaed ones and he said it was good that it fitted in his jeans pocket.:) He took the p*** out of me for doing that at first so it seems like he changed his mind lol.

I went to the cafe with my friend. I pulled out a samosaed placcy bag. Intrigued she asked me what I had done to get it so small.
So I held court by showing her how to do it. The lady behind the counter came over for a demo

A little girl was on the next table with her Grandma. She was waiting for an appointment at the clinic in the same building.
The little girl folded the bag beautifully. (I did warn her she mustnt do this at home as the bags are VERY dangerous. She was old
enough to agree and said she knew about the danger.)

Her Grandma said she thought I had too much time on my hands if thats all I had to do.

    How rude of her!

Whilst doing that, I have done a number of drawers in my bedroom, but am struggling with putting all my t shirt type tops out of my wardrobe into the new space for them. Once neatly folded how do you differentiate between long sleeved, short sleeved, round neck and v neck ?
I have 5 white tops and wonder how I will know which one to pull out

Today I am forced to deal with some komono ( out of order as I am not on to komono by any means yet) as it has been displaced by works here.

This mainly reminds me I need to sort out my storage situation, as lots is good stuff I want but have no where to put . E.g. A beautiful blue bowl in like to fill with things in the centre of the table when I don't have a vase in the centre of the table, but is too big to fit in the cupboard I keep vases in. It gives me great joy. But not when it doesn't have a home.

Yes she was rude but I think she was just thinking out loud.
I've got to an age now when people's opinions of me are not important.

I think she is selfish to expect that lovely little grandaughter to have to go through her 3wardrobes when she's gone.

I put my sons tops in a different part of the drawer short sleeves to the right long sleves to the left
They are all mostly round neck though
You could separate them in small shoe boxes
I keep forgetting to ask my shoe shop to keep me some childrens boxes
Or you may have some small boxes around your home
Old plastic food boxes for instance

Astounded by how much on my 'to do
' list creates clutter. I have lights Not hanging but lying around taking up room. Because its taking me literally YEARS now to sort out what I want to do about overhauling two pendant lights (can't find candle tubes I like) I
'M living with lights I don't like, joy sapping.
