Just checking in quickly to report that one box of paperwork has been sifted through, many more to go. Sorting of DS's bedroom and charity shop bags in car for tomorrow.

My DD's have found their bedroom floor and copious loads of washing discovered!!

Ok so I have to ask ..where do I find out how to samosa? Is it in a part of the book I haven't read yet? I think I need this particular skill in my life

Sorted out a load of dry laundry this morning and decided to look at DH's and DD's prescriptions. I got them repackaged so they took up less space, arranged in order in small tray and checked with DH what he no longer needed then re ordered the medications they did need.

Checked online banking and made sure DDs etc were being done and transactions all recorded etc. and then took DH out to cinema in the afternoon as a treat and a goal towards recovery from treatment.

DH made me laugh just now as he came upstairs, looked at the COD and said "Let's see if I can find my socks" - my response was "Thick socks are top drawer and thinner socks are third drawer down!"

Really pleased to see the idea on folding I*ea bags as I have a big load of supermarket bags in the utility room taking up masses of space even when shoved into a couple of big bags. Now if I use the principle shown I can fold them all neatly and either get them all into one bag or even just bundle them all together and put an elastic band round them.

Things are feeling better around the house and I have not even got the book from the library yet.

Oohmy knee is playing up today.......but hey the other knee is fine and touch wood the rest of my joints are ok too.
Theres always a bright side.

I was up really late attempting to finally stick my flag on top of the paper everest summit.
well not quite.......there just a tiny bit left.....a grassy knoll if you like
So to quote another poster (Grey Queen?) im off to down a pint of tea, then start the final push old chaps to paperwork peace of mind :T Its been emotional!!!!!!

A pint of tea is a minimum requirement to start the day with, good luck with your decluttering. I have to declutter myself to work now, then an evening class, so not much will be done today. Have a good one, folks.

Living as I do in the land of the 'bag tax', and owning a selection of sturdy jute 'shoppers' paying for a disposable bag really went against the grain, but wow! it was worth it :rotfl::rotfl:
