Hope you and the ponies are all Ok in these winds - must admit I'm not looking forward to venturing out today.
Have a fab weekend x0 -
After last years performance where broken bones were obtained in spring (human not horse) this year they have all been in at night and out during the day. Last year they were in at night and yarded during the day and by February the youngster was a right ***** she kicked everything else in sight, leapt in the farrier and cut his leg, and broke human bones! We have just started Yarding them again due to the fields needing a rest but I can see the difference in her already.
DD is riding her this year as well, but I can only hope that spring comes fast!
Could try fast fibre which is suitable for laminitic ponies, so no sugar or starch at all completely non heating and helps with ponies that react to starch, it's great at giving fibre, maintains weight and they have a feed
DD is 19 now and has been on horses since 13 but I remember her first pony which would buck for Britain on a handful of mix lol
Have had a lovely read of your diary and you sound like your doing great x£250 shopping, diesel and any other spends

Hellloooo
Well another week is upon us and at 6am this morning I wished it wasn't. A week closer to being DF and living the dream though - I must try and think that when my alarm goes off on a morning!
Ok so reviewing last week - all meals were made and accounted for during the working week (I'll explain in a mo), all clothes were ready and no rushing round, home made food and no takeaways, no drinking during the week and the house looked clean and tidy for the most part. Work went well and I snagged 1 shift on job 2 despite it being quiet so the extra payment fund has kicked off. Homework was done and lunches made the night before.
Now the improvement areas lol. Friday we went to the yard at 4:30 and didn't get in until after 8. The kids hadn't been fed and they were STARVING. Saturday we had no lunch ready and DD and I came home from the yard STARVING. See a theme here? So - Friday I had a freezer meal defrosted and ready to eat so they had something warm and home made but it was far too late. Maybe eat before we go or take picnic this week. Saturday we'd ran out of food and I'd made no bread or soup so this week I must be prepared for the weekend. We did however have meals planned for Sat night which were yummy. DH treat us to a Sunday lunch last night so I didn't have one to make and tidy up afterwards
I made the packed lunches last night and also some soup for me which I hope is better than last week's. I shall let you know.
So this week I would like to:
Make a start organising the kitchen and complete by end January
Stay on top of the washing
Get on top of the ironing
Walk the dog daily even if the wind's hurting my face!
Meal plan for the next couple of weeks
Get another couple of rounds of knitting done
Ensure food ready for Friday and Saturday
Make a quiche and find something else similar to alternate with.Debt - CCV £3792

How lovely to see new faces here
can you believe after my moaning, the pony was very well behaved at the weekend - did I mention there's a 3rd now.....sneaks off.,....sure I did. I wouldn't forget that.........it's only part time......not that I need to justify it.....well, maybe a bit.....shhh - don't tell anyone.

My new DFD that will obviously be subject to change is Dec 2016. If I am in the same role as I am working in now, I've worked out when I will be paid and that's how many days it is until then.
If this date turns out to be my DFD then I will wrap up axmas card with the information in it for DH that we can start looking for a farm immediately in the new year of 2017.
In one way Dec 2016 is still too far off but paying ~34k in that period is a tall order anyway - I can't see myself being able to shorten it unless I win some money!Debt - CCV £3792

Third pony???? Come on spill the beans......
You're doing fantastically well with the debt busting and the next couple of years will fly by. Just think you could be sitting here in two years time having put an offer in on the property of your dreams. Sooooo exciting! Keep up the brilliant work x0 -
Nah, that's not a third, that's a half like mine0

Good Morning from a not so windy North East England!
Yes, just half a pony Caz, I like that. He is a gorgeous 13.2 chestnut Sec B, quite fine with a good jumping background for kids. He is my friends pony who cannot bring herself to sell him (her DD has a new pony and she is too tall for him now) and so a solution all round, is we take him on a few days a week for a small fee and DD gets to move up a gear as DS comes in to ride our other little pony and start enjoying him. Smiles all round (when they are being good).
So my budget has been adjusted accordingly and I am paying for him out of my Job 2. Hopefully will get some work there tonight as it's still quiet it seems.
Last night was a nice yet frustrating night. There were too many liveries trying to ride at the same time and all the ponies kept setting each other off. It just made me look forward to the day we have our own place where we can hack out or ride without the frustration of crashing into everyone!
