How can you quantify something that fits through a letterbox not being delivered as a delivery attempt?

If they require a signature, they can't just stick it through a letterbox.

You can go on arguing on this thread all you like until you get the answer you want.

    Best wishes.

So what exactly does it show on the tracking? Normally parcels are scanned at each stage

The fact remains it's not a signed for item, was delivered back to me through my letterbox with no signature, why wasn't the same afforded at the other end.

Out of interest where do you stand on an item of post not being delivered one end through the letterbox but through the letterbox at the other end with the same service?

Would you feel aggrieved at not receiving any recompense?

I run a business. I don't waste my time chasing pennies when there are pounds to be made elsewhere. Move on, get over it.

No I wouldn't be pleased but in concentrating on P4D you are not accepting other aspects of this.

You need to refund or resend (via RM imho) the item to your buyer. If you don't keep them happy they will open a claim and give you feedback which could harm you long term.

Can you repackage it so it is under 25mm thick? If so it will go as a large letter and will be much cheaper.

Attend to your buyer's needs first and then chase the carrier.

    Thanks for suggesting this.

I had not looked since I made a claim with P4D and to say the list has changed is an understatement.

originally it had lots of processes without going for delivery, then out for delivery appeared twice with "problem" and load more processes.

Now the list has removed the "problem" and is as follows.

(Buyer was at home all week, and no cards have been received)
Also it says in the "tracking" it was delivered back to me on the 15th when I received it on the 17th ( I know this as it's the date I contacted inpost
    about it)

The buyer has been great (the fact that 12 days later they hadn't even contacted me to ask where the item was shows great patience) I dealt with them first. and have kept them informed all the way. offering a full refund or redelivery the first time I contacted them.

Or a criminal record for fraud

this is MSE not some dodgy ripoff site where fraud is seen as amusing.
As I've already contacted them and they know I have the item I shall not be going down that route anyway...

Not going to let it drop though. there are too many discrepancies in what they have told me and what the tracking says.

Is there an ombudsmen that will deal with complaints about services?
