Sounds good but it would be good to get confirmation from Euro but they don't seem to rush to let people know when they cancel.
You can check the status of the PCN on their website by clicking on the Pay PCN button and entering the PCN number.
After Mr Whitely said he was cancelling mine, I sent a copy of his email to ECP asking them to confirm cancellation. I got a cancellation letter from them yesterday merely saying that my appeal was successful.
If you don't hear from them within 35 days of making your appeal it may be worth complaining to the BPA.

Good tip Bob, thank you! I just checked and it said 'This ticket has already been paid or has been closed.'

It is indeed ludicrous to have apologist Whiteley stating:
'It always frustrates me when people quote acts when they have exceeded a time limit instead of simply explaining their circumstance.'

    [Poorly-written, grammar-lite, comma-free throughout:'acts', 'there are a...', ]

..aaah, Mr Diddums Whiteley, I see you do not know that mitigation is NEVER an acceptable rebuttal of New Trouser Fees.

'there is always an element of tolerance on the timing' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

' in fact have had very few issues with any member of the public irrespective of age or status.'

does citizen whiteley roughly understand who breastfeeders might be?

Matthew, you will never be one, not even when you grow up.

Yes this was my reasoning for going in heavy handed with the Equality Act. If I gave him a sob story about everything I got up to that day he may have just said rules are rules. If there's an element of tolerance, it should actually be implemented. I suggested to Sainsbury's that something like a parking validation on purchase from store or the ability to pay for extra time would be useful.

The other thing that gets me is that in theory, you could avoid the parking fine by moving your car around. E.g. I could have parked by the old pub for the GP, then moved car to Bretton Centre to finish up errands. This is just a pointless use of fumes and Peterborough is supposed to be one of the most environmentally friendly places in the UK.

re: ''This ticket has already been paid or has been closed.''

Scam invoices cancelled, successful subsequent appeals, or else[unfortunately] paid should be separate stats.

    That's great dammit, well done.
However, I do think that ECP should write confirming that they have cancelled. In theory you don't actually know that it has been cancelled, so if you haven't heard by day 35 from your appeal, you are within your rights to complain to the BPA that ECP have broken the BPA CoP by either not cancelling the notice or supplying a POPLA code within the specified time. On the other hand, you may not want to stir them up.

I understand that Peterborough was recently stated to be the worst city in Britain to not own a car due to the poor public transport facilities. With the proliferation of Private Parking Companies in recent times, it could soon be voted one of the worst places to drive a car. Perhaps we should all stay indoors and never go out.
