It's not Apple fans making out that Window's machines start falling apart after 6 months, there's tons of posts on MSE about that very thing from people that own these laptops.
Why do you think Apple has fans, yet Windows doesn't? There's a reason.
But again, you're the guy who thinks water is an alternative to Champagne, so that lets us know where you're coming from on this issue as well.
:rotfl: You actually believe a thread like that. It didn't occur to you that it would have been an apple fan boi who was feeling guilty over their own purchase.0 -

Obviously you're deluded.
I'll enjoy my Mac and Champagne, you pretend you're enjoying your £200 Argos special and your pint of tap water.
Hopefully your other 5,000 posts aren't as awful as the ones on here.

Pitiful.
I take it the person who's windows laptop that was unusable after 24 hours due to being infected must have logged onto that well known site downloadvirusesandmalwarehere.com so more fool them.
Actually suicidebob get real.0 -

Actually suicidebob get real.
Yeah, Windows users usually aren't the brightest.
You're the guy who thinks water is an alternative to Champagne, so telling me to get real seems to be more delusional behaviour on your part.0 -

Which one is essential for life and which one is an unnecessary luxury?0 -

In fact it's more like one is Duff, the other Duff Lite.
There's no real difference in ease of use between the two. The only real differences are that Apple devices work a bit better than Apple hardware, that there's a much richer choice of applications with Windows, and that a Windows machine will cost you about 2/3 the price of the equivalent Apple.0 -

The 'Apple is Champagne, Windows is water' analogy is daft.
I don't think anyone made that analogy.
Rather the point is that when some people compare PC laptops v. Mac laptops on price they pick a cheap PC laptop for the comparison.
This is not a fair comparison.
PC laptops similar to Macbook Pro or Macbook Air do not cost £200, far from it.
Yes, the Mac is probably still more expensive but not that much more expensive.
That is why in a previous post I commented that first OP should decide what kind of money he is prepared to spend.
If that's £200 then obviously the choice is among cheap PC laptops or Chromebooks.
But if £1000 or more is fine then there are both PCs and Mac laptops in that range.
Comparing a £200 PC laptop with a Macbook is daft.0 -
Thanks all. £1000 is well within budget. I figure you get what you pay for, 'buy cheap buy twice' kind of thing.
I am reading everyones comments with interest. There is a real divide on this subject!0 -

That's what apple want you and others to believe and they certainly have succeeded.0
