My January Challenge

Glad you started this. Was about to start a thread of similar ilk, on the food board. We have a lot food in fridge and freezers and cupboard. Other than fresh produce of milk, eggs, fresh fruit and veg and possibly cheese and a few condiments or additions at current time unknown, we don't need to grocery shop throughout January. So I'll join in with you in your challenge, if that's okay. Would love to clear at least one of the freezers of produce, a a couple of the cupboards as well.:staradmin: June NSD's 2/19:staradmin: Sealed Pot #460 :staradmin: £/day £185 saved :staradmin: W.S.C 2015 #45 :staradmin: F.P. 2/24 months :staradmin:0

Count me in to please. The only thing that we could fit in the freezer ATM is an after 8 mint.. It needs tackling as do the over flowing cupboards.great idea!0

I found a few slices of bread in the freezer this morning when I was sorting out how many blackcurrants I had left so I can delay my 'bread run' until tomorrow :T
Looks like a jam making session is in order0 -

500g of mince has been defrosted for cooking tonight so that should be about 4 days worth of meals by the time I have added a few things and converted it a couple of times0

Glad you don't mind my tagging along
Haven't bought any food today and we are eating from the fridge. A beef casserole was made a couple of days ago and there is a tub of Turkey pieces i defrosted yesterday, these have mostly been consumed today. I ate toast and some choccies, haven't felt like a meal today. Took a bottle of milk out of freezer and defrosted it overnight, so, 'fresh' milk available for beverages and cereals for the next couple of days.
Think it's about 13 days since I last did any grocery shopping whatsoever, and other than the items outlined in my earlier post, won't need anything else for at least another couple of weeks.:staradmin: June NSD's 2/19:staradmin: Sealed Pot #460 :staradmin: £/day £185 saved :staradmin: W.S.C 2015 #45 :staradmin: F.P. 2/24 months :staradmin:0
