Hello :) short time lurker de-lurking to join in.
We have been trying to conceive since November 16th 2015, although I did fall pregnant initially quite quickly, I had a miscarriage at 7+2 :( We have both dealt with it and moving forward as we really want a family. AF is due (or hopefully not) 15/04 and i'm currently 8DPO (from when I think I ovulated). Like most, wishing the tww away and assuming any twinge/feeling is a sign of being pregnant.
I haven't used any OV tests or temping, just been going off CM and the prediction from my MyDays app.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

  • Hey everyone, hope you are all well!

I'm on CD3 and quite miserable! I've come to the conclusion that I'm sabotaging myself and not entirely sure how to get out of it! Saw the obstetrician a couple of weeks ago as a follow up after the miscarriage in December and was advised that to get pregnant again and quicker I should stop smoking and try and lose some weight, and I've done neither! My iron levels are still low following the miscarriage and thats making me tired, achy and just not able to go to the gym, and I've just not tackled the smoking at all and it's really upsetting my partner. I've got a high risk of miscarriage and I really dont want to go through that again so maybe theres something going on subconciously.

I'm going to go back to obstetrician in May who is going to give me another round of Clomid, last year was not a good year for getting with pregnant with things like pancreatitis, gall bladder removal and Dad dying so maybe this year will be better! I did find 3 Clomid tablets, I know the usual round is 5 tablets but I figure it's worth a try!

No idea what's going on but we've been BD-ing like mad so hopefully I ov'd yesterday and the +ve OPK was just the tail end...argh this is so confusing!!

Welcome to newbies, as always we hope your stay here is short xx

I'm quickly discovering what a lonely world TTC'ing is. It's all I can think about, but don't feel like it's something I can bring up in conversation with friends, and pretty sure my OH already thinks I'm turning into a baby-mad psycho! Thank god for you guys!

Oh Tinks I feel your pain so much :-( I eventually caved and told 2 friends as I just needed the shoulder to lean on so that I didn't take out too much on my OH.

Personally I'm really glad I did as I think it can be far too taboo, but I did choose people with kids themselves, one of whom had a MC before her little girl, so could relate.

Hi to everyone. Hope the newbies stays are nice and short!
I've been checking in a lot but not posting for a bit - trying to take a slightly more relaxed approach this month but still doing the CB OPK. Also been having acupuncture for the last few weeks which has been nice - it feels good to do something a bit more removed from the technicalities of ttc but that will hopefully help. I got a peak on the CB opk yesterday so putting myself at DPO1 today, which is a couple of days later than usual for me. Hoping the cycle will just extend as I can't afford to lose any days from my already short LP!
Anyways, here's to the tww! Good luck to you all - jeez, we must be due a load of BPFs soon!!
    xx

Nothing to report here, I just feel like I am wishing the days away at the moment, either waiting for ov or waiting for AF (and hoping it doesn't arrive!)

I've started thinking ahead to next month already. We get married abroad at the end of May, and obviously, because I am so lucky, AF is due to arrive a couple of days before the wedding. If it's a BFN this month I am considering taking Norethisterone to delay AF, but I'm worried it might mess up my cycles. Think we would also have to take next month off TTC, which I'm not particularly keen on. Obviously I will talk about this with my doctor nearer the time, but just wondering if anyone has any experience with norethisterone?

OMG Tinks, I have came on to post this very thing. I have a holiday at exact same time and AF is due. I've taken Northisterone before and it worked brilliantly and didn't mess up my cycle that I can remember but I wasn't TTC. I have booked a GP appt for this discussion for the week after my next AF due date (with any luck I will have a BFP and won't need it).

The other option is just not to try for the month of May but I actually don't think I want to do that for the sake of a dip in the pool (I don't use tampons).
