Sorry to hear you're having a rubbish time of it cats. I think it's normal to feel that ways sometimes, this TTC business is hard! We were on holiday over the fertile week in our third (unsuccessful) cycle and I found it really hard that cycle too. I think you hear so many stories about people falling pregnant whilst on holiday that there's a part of you that thinks that will do the trick and it's doubly disappointing when AF turns up. Fingers crossed this cycle is luckier for you.
Cycle day 16 here, I think I ovulated late on cycle day 13 which is really early for me. Normally have 29/30 day cycles and Ov about cd 17 so not really sure why it's suddenly come early. Caught us a bit by surprise but bd cd 12 and 14 so hopefully we're in with a chance this month.
Decided to bite the bullet this month and discuss things with the doctor as my periods have been really light since I came off the pill. Lucked out with a sympathetic doctor and so have had hubby's semen analysis done (came back normal) and am booked in for 21 day bloods next week.
Hugs to all those that need them x0 -
Thoughts to all those who are finding it hard at the moment. It is upsetting I know, especially when everyone around you seems to find it so easy. We've had a very hard time of it TTC, terminating our first at 12 weeks. So I well understand how difficult it can be. We should have been getting ready now, would have been only 11 weeks to go. Thought we were so lucky to start with, conceived first month trying (on our honeymoon no less)
Sometimes it doesn't seem to matter one bit if you try to do everything perfectly. Down to luck in the end, or at least, things beyond anyone's control. Just need to keep going and eventually everything will fall into place (planets will align or whatever) and it'll happen.
Keep at it and remember why you're putting yourself through it. But don't be ashamed to cry, just don't let it stop you.
Good luck to everyone tryingMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Hugs cats, I can't really add much to what everyone else has already said. Its only something that can be understood by those who have walked the same path.
I've had to realise that nature just doesn't understand what's fair, and those who haven't struggled seem to have no comprehension of how difficult it can be each month. I really am keeping every thing crossed for you hun xx

Forgot to update!
CD31 now (by this time last cycle she had already started the very light spotting that starts two days before AF - so it's clearly going to be much later this time, AF would have been due tomorrow, but there's no signs of it approaching)
11DPO - which is good, was worried that we were going to end up with a really short luteal phase but that obviously isn't the case.
Main difference this month is her feeling about it. Last month she was very much thinking "it's not going to happen, just doesn't feel right". But this month, she hasn't said anything like that at all, she's been willing to talk about it all more and I think she feels like it is actually a possibility.
It's a less tangible sign than temp or CM but...
As CM goes, it's been ewcm up til yesterday when it is now thick white/creamy CM.bStrange having ewcm at this stage, usually that stops after OV.
She had cramping over one day, became much lighter the next day and hasn't been back since, but that happened around 7dpo
Still not really sure what's going on, but I recognise that there's a chance, there's been a lot of good signs...just trying so hard to keep a handle on the excitement, don't want a disappointment.
She said we'll test next weekend if AF hasn't appeared. Glow suggests AF on Thursday, it originally said was due today, but got pushed back as I kept up the log.
I know we could test now, but it could very easily 50/50 end up giving a false negative, so there really isn't any point. Just wait and see if AF does show up on ThursdayMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Sounds positive Freddie. Fingers crossed for you guys.
CD25 here and 8DPO. Had a huge temp drop yesterday, below coverline and back up again today. Had some cramping yesterday but a lot more today, and lots of creamy CM. Keep thinking AF has arrived, but it hasn't.
Trying not to read too much into it as I didn't really pay attention to any pre-AF symptoms until now, so could just be normal and mean nothing.
AF is due on Thursday, so time will tell!
Kellykins and KeeKee, how are you getting on?
SBDTA xx
ETA: Oh and I've got the standard sore boobs and am feeling quite irritable today - those are definitely standard pre-AF symptoms! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Good luck boat girl!
Cats, lp in the USA seems to be a big thing but I've read lots if threads on B&B from ladies here whose GP's think it's completely irrelevant. Have you tried vitamin b complex? How short is your lp? I had an 8,a few tens and my last was 11 so it seems to be improving with time.
It doesn't hurt to ask, they can only say no.
Chocolate lover you need to get a basal body thermometer that reads to 2 decimal places, mine is a baby mad one from Amazon, was about £4.
You can temp orally by placing it under your tongue, it beeps when it's ready. You should try and take it as close to same time each day, that will built your chart. Fertility friend app has loads of tutorials on charting, temping and mucus, I'd suggest getting it even if you carry on using glow.
We ended decided to start the fertility testing process in the new year, some will say that's very early utility we would then get any NHS help anyway and I don't see any point wasting time!
DH and I have been discussing whether to talk to the Dr early because I've got endo but keep deciding not to because I'd rather it happens naturally than having to go through more surgery. Thinking of asking for a referral soon though as it takes months.FreddieFrugal wrote: »CD28, 8dpo,
Strong cramps,
Lots of ewcm, stretchy - weird, was really creamy up to now
queasy feeling this morning (could have been performance management nerves - she got her pay rise though:D)
I want her to test tomorrow morning but she wants to wait!
Well done on getting that pay rise! If it's anything like most jobs, mine included, they're like hen's teeth nowadays. So the spotting I tend to get before AF has arrived - and 99% certain it isn't implantation as it's continued and seems more fresh (sorry TMI). So not quite an official update but CD1 will prob be tomorrow.
I always think how strong all the posts on here seem, but I'm afraid today mine really isn't - I'm absolutely devastated. We were on hol this cycle and BD'd literally every day, plus being super happy, loved up and relaxed. Actually enjoyed it all again. So now I feel like if that doesn't work then what hope do we have.
We're healthy people, both normal weight, semi-active, good diet, no other health issues. We've been together 7 years, married 2.5, and are as happy as ever. What are we doing wrong? If I'd got pregnant month 1 or 2 like so many people I know I'd be over half way by now, and if my cycles were shorter we'd have had 6 attempts rather than 5. It's just not fair!
I'm sorry for such an emotional post but sometimes I get fed up of trying to be strong and just want to be so angry at the world. Today is definitely one of those days.
Hugs and baby dust to all of you, hearing your stories is pretty much what's keeping me going at the moment as we head into month 7, cycle 6. xx
Sorry you're feeling down cats. I have been up and down throughout this journey but it's never easy. We're going into month 8, cycle 9 so you're not alone
CD 9 for me today and I'm a wee bit hung over. Don't drink much at all so 3 pints of cider means a waste of a SaturdayOh well, I won't be doing it again for a while.
Two people asked me when we're going to have a baby last night. I told them both we'd been trying for 7 months with no luck. They were both sympathetic, and although I know they've both had 'surprise' pregnancies, they also know of close friends who've struggled ttc. I feel like I've kept this secret for so long I'm now telling everyone. Hope I don't come to regret it!
We decided to finally start OPKs this month and bought the CB one which lasts 10 days. Bit expensive but I'm at the point of wanting to spend anything to reduce the stress a bit.
Good luck everyone0 -
Hope you've all had a good weekend. Looking forward to X Factor later!
Freddie you have more control than me if you can wait that long to test!
My only update is that we are now CD13 and I've had high on the dual hormone Clearblue for the last 4 days. I got peak on cd10 last month so it's much later this month. Hope it happens tomorrow as I don't think we can keep up the bding every other day!Happiness can be found in even the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light - Albus Dumbledore

CD32 - watery CM but then also a bit of stretchy, slightly yellow tinged CM as well.
So many types, wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow we end up with rainbow coloured bouncy stuff!
I have read that the yellowy tinged stretchy stuff can be a good sign, but as with last time, all these things can also mean absolutely nothing.
Feel like this week is going to drag.
Milliebob - we just feel like there's no point testing until you've actually gone past AF date, as could just end up with a false negative and then it's another unnecessary stress...apart from the fact it's more MSE to save the tests for when they're more likely to pick up something
Last time we only got a fairly faint positive on our first test and that was a week after missed AF.
I'll be honest that I do want to test! Because I feel like it's a decent possibility this month. But I think she's right to want to wait and I understand it. Besides, it's not me that has to pee on the stick, so my patience doesn't come into it! :rotfl:Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Sorry to hear that skaps. Take advantage of a hot bath and lots and lots of chocolate.
Good luck to all those waiting to test, I hope to hear some announcements soon.
CD29 here. Usually 28 days cycle. Ovia says AF due tomorrow. I couldn't hold out and tested on Saturday night. BFN. Just waiting for AF.0
