Nearly missed ov this cycle. Has been cd18 every cycle for the last 4 months so I planned a cd15-18 bd assault. Missed cd15 as too knackered. Did opk on cd 16 only to find I was bloody ovulating! 2 days early! (Short surge)
Managed 2 bds but not sure if that's enough to do the trick!!
I'm now 1dpo
Hoping this cycles lucky as next one will be very tricky with incompatible shifts etc.
Congratulations to the bfps recently!!0 -
Today has been a series of kicks in the behind to remind me that I'm still missing my BFP and in the throes of AF
Thought I'd spoil myself and have a day of shopping in the big factory shopping village a few towns over. Sister in law, who's seven months pregnant, asked if I could pick up an eBay win for her from a seller in that town. Nothing unusual there. "It's a beautiful high chair for the baby" she said, entirely oblivious to the fact she'd just unwittingly rubbed salt in the wound.
Shopping was quite nice, except when one of my other friends rang and asked if I'd mind terribly having a look in the Mamas And Papas shop for a new moses basket for her bump while I was there. And so, there I stood, surrounded by couples who'd managed to achieve something I hadn't, measuring up moses baskets and praying no shop assistants came over to make conversation about babies.
It'll all be safe at home, right? Nope. Logged on to Facebook to see another friend announcing her BFP.
Tomorrow I'm going to walk my dog, take some old clothes to the charity recycling bank, turn off my phone and not go on Facebook. Effectively, I shall be sitting here, with my fingers in my ears, shouting "I can't hear you!" at the rest of the world :rotfl:© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0 -
Oh that sounds totally poop Cuilean
I can't believe your friend asked you to look at the Moses baskets though
I thought that'd be an exciting thing to go and pick our yourself! I hope you enjoy your off-grid day tomorrow! What breed of dog do you have?
Just DTD for third day in a row - wow, that was tough going. Please please please let my temp have gone up tomorrow!0 -
Sorry to all those with AF. What a rubbish day Cuilean. Hope a day shut off from the world has helped.
We had a good weekend away. We are both not ourselves at the moment due to work problems (for me) and anxiety problems with DH. Was great to get some time the two of us.
Nothing to report here - awaiting ovulation.0 -
Can someone please tell me if this is an evap mark? Just a cheapie test.... I can't do another as I didn't save the sample, I wasn't expecting anything... I'm only 11 DPO I think.0
-
Aileth, I'm on my phone and can't see very well, but that looks like a positive to me! How long did it take for the line to appear? Evap lines won't appear for a while, true positive should be within minutes.0
-
It was about 15 minutes, I did it and just put it down because I wasn't expecting anything at all. I did another one when I noticed but I only had a trickle left and I didn't even get an 'evap' line after waiting 30 mins. How long is best to hold it to get it concentrated enough? I might just do one tomorrow morning again.0
-
For the ovulation tests, you need to hold it for a minimum of 2 hours, preferably at least 4. I'd guess the pg tests are the same - first morning urine is probably your best bet, especially so early on.
I hope to hear some good news soon!0 -
Whoever designed the female body needs to take a long walk off a short pier!!! I'm totally not going to sleep tonight! Thank you black ribboner0

Aileth- On my phone it definitely looked like a line, on my laptop I'm not sure but I can see something. I know photo's never do them justice anyway so I'd say use a more expensive one, it looks like it might be worth it. I'd wit for FMU though.0
