Morning, ladies. Anyone managed to miss the news that Kate has gone into labour? ;) I can't help wondering if she was obsessive about OPKs and TTC too...

There was an interesting article on Buzzfeed yesterday, 22 Things You Should Know About Fertility, which should be made compulsory reading for any fertile person. Worth a read, even if only viewing for the silly pictures.

May be she was secretly one of us back last summer?

Cuilean, that's a great list - I am the one in eight! :D Like the pic of the easily distracted sperm too :p

Babyb, ovulation is normally a day or so after the last day you see EWCM (although as ever, this isn't certain and it's possible to have EWCM without ovulation). I would keep dtd at least every other day until your opks are clearer, or just until AF arrives/CD35. Everything crossed for you :)

Can I re join you ladies? Decided to try for #2. Not sure if we are crazy or stupid as LO is only 6 months.

Sorry to see a few familiar names still on here.

Not going to go down the OPK's yet and just go with the flow :D I've lost 3.5 stone since I last gave birth so hoping it will make it a little easier as AF's are more regular now x

Cd11 here, trying the IC Opk's and so far nothing, which could be normal or me not ovulating. I got pregnant on CD 12 with DD. Got to get OH active in bed now just in case.

Am I the only one who wonders what their man will be like as a father? I have had niggling worries sometimes that my DH will simply treat the baby as a shorter version of his mates. I expressed this worry to my friend who brought her two children to visit today. One child is 5, the other is 3. My husband was having a great time kicking a football around the garden with them. She started to tell me not to worry, because he looked like he had the situation entirely under control. Just then, hubby became overwhelmed by the spirit of Beckham, and booted the football in the direction of the 5 year old. It smacked the poor girl square in the face. There was a moment of awkward laughter before my friend picked up her child and suggested that it might be time to go home :rotfl:

:rotfl: I know what you mean, though. I do wonder because OH is never around babies but I know he will be amazing at the job.

Welp, CD31 and no AF yet. I've been having weird cramps all week and my boobs are quite sore but no sign of her arriving any time soon (usually get 2 days of spotting and loads of CM, I'm pretty dry on those fronts!) but not getting my hopes up. Longest cycle was 33 days so I think we're waiting until Tuesday to test if AF hasn't arrived.

CD1 for me too. No real surprise after my signs were so all over the place, but there's still that kick of disappointment.

I had dinner with a good friend last night and made some flippant comment about fertility. Cue a speech about how I mustn't stress, and tracking is a bad plan, because actually it doesn't matter if we miss a few chances or it takes another year, and also I should probably stop talking about it, because that just adds pressure. :(

I just can't explain to anyone who isn't going through it how miserable it is not to be able to conceive, especially when no one else around you is having problems. And that I get the shouldn't stress thing, but actually we're seven months in and only 2, possibly 3, confirmed ovulations, so missing a chance does matter, because I don't get that many. And another year does matter, because of what we want for our family and our lives. Not to mention the constant sense of uncertainty and failure.

Sorry, all a bit heavy for a Sunday morning, but OH is away and I feel so awful :( There really is nothing about this 'journey' that's enjoyable!
