Apologies for crappy grammar but predictive text on my phone took over.

Best one is when at work I type wellies as in Wellington boots and this gets changed to willies! A few eyebrows have been raised at that.....

Sorry about the BFN, Aileth, especially after your body was giving you the signs. Totally understand where you're coming from with mixed feelings re the potential xmas baby - as much as hubby and I said we would prefer not to have an xmas baby, at this point a BFP would still have been a nice surprise. Onwards and upwards and all that positive gubbins ;)

Had awful insomnia last night. Barely slept, and in my zombie-like state, forgot to use FMU for the OPK  Anyone know if 2nd MU is any good for OPK? I've held off for 3 hours so far in the hope of building up the hormones it looks for (And also because using the toilet seems to knock out the shower's ability to heat itself for half an hour  )

    Afternoon ladies :)

Proper temp rise today, so looks like I have ovulated, but later than last few months. My cycles are variable, but looks like I'm heading for a longer one this month, so I guess AF is due around Monday 19th April. Will try and hold off testing until the weekend before!

  • Ah, fudge it. CD13 and not a hint of any impending ovulation - so much for last month's shorter cycle being a good sign. And OH has decided today that for various reasons, he's going to have 3-4 weeks off from DTD. Bye bye new year baby.

Really down at the moment, can't see how I'm ever going to get pregnant and keep it. Can't I just move to a dark cave somewhere where no one's going to expect me to have kids and I don't have to mingle with endlessly fertile women and happy families?

Sorry for ranting, nowhere else to let it out (and no one else who'd understand!) Hope everyone else is having a better day, welcome to all the newbies :)

Aileth, really sorry to hear your news - was convinced you were going to post a bfp :(

    Thank you everyone.

Not sure what my body is doing atm really. Still loads of creamy CM. I googled that it's to do with progesterone, so not really sure what my body is trying to tell me. Brown spotting in my underwear which has just started in the last hour. I never normally get spotting prior to AF, normally AF just jumps on me full flow. I'm CD 24 so possible, although I normally have 'dried up' by now.

Aww, BlackRibboner, I'm sorry to hear you're so down. Remember you've just been through one of the most upsetting things a woman can experience. The whole thing is unique to each person - feelings, hormones and circumstances seem to conspire against you, with no 2 people seeming to have the same experience. Could OH's reaction be his way of coping with it? Maybe he's feeling like he couldn't put you through that again and is a bit scared. Give him a few days and have a talk when things have settled. Until then, we're all here to listen.

BR, can I join you in that cave please. Had a call from a health worker today saying she was just confirming our appt for 11am.
    Me. What appt?
Her. We are visiting all pregnant ladies in the area.
    Me. I miscarried in November.
Her. I am so sorry. That info wasn't passed on to us. We note this is your second pregnancy, how old is your first child?
Me. I miscarried that one too.
Her. I am really sorry. Did you get support afterwards.
Me. No, not with either. I was told no support or investigations until I have had three.
    Her. Oh.......

    :(
  • Oh devildolly, that's awful - you'd think they'd check the files. I was also told no support or investigations until I'd miscarried several times - "some women have five, seven or nine, but it's not unusual or a cause for concern"! Safe to say (in)fertility support is not at the top of my local health authority's agenda. . .

Aileth, how bizarre. Hope your body calms down soon - and maybe even gives you some good news in the next few days. Might be a slim chance, but I'm crossing my fingers x

Thanks Cuilean. OH's abstinence is actually for physical reasons - without going into detail, he could have - and said he would - sort it out while I was in 2ww/on my period, but didn't and has now decided that it's urgent, when my fertility window is anytime from now until a week next Tuesday (the apps can't make up their minds!). He says he wants this for us and that the mc made him realise he does really want to be a dad, but I feel I'm the only one focusing on it. I'm trying hard not to be naggy and cross with him, but I'm not doing very well with it! I don't know what I'd do if not for thia thread :o

Oh my gosh, devildolly. I'm not easily shocked, but that's awful. Why is our health system not more joined up? Especially when it comes to sensitive things like that. That phone call must have felt like a proper slap in the face. The only consolation I can offer is that the health visitor probably felt dreadful about it after that call too :(
