    Congratulations the Pug!!!

Black Ribboner - I really feel for you. Also, I find it really upsetting when people start saying "your turn next!" or "isn't it your turn now?" I am very defensive about the whole thing at the moment - one person asked if we were trying the other day and I lied and said no! Just can't face the constant questions!!!!!

Ahh Lulu, have you tested again? Really had everything crossed for you - and was hoping it was just old blood too!
Well, I am having a scan today to check out how my plumbing is... on my bday! What a treat!

Please can I be updated to the grand age of 31?
    Have a great day y'all! Here's to April being a GREAT month!xx

Happy birthday Elle! :) My OH turned 31 on St Paddy's day. I hope your scan goes well and you have a good day :)

I have 1 test left and I'm saving it. The spotting has gone down (and so have the cramps actually) but it is all brown and no pink which is a good sign.

April is our month, ladies. Although it is rubbish that MRN's BFP prediction was wrong ;)

I'll guess 4 BFPs this month Kelly x

  • Thanks lulu. You're right, I should look at the silver lining - I picked up a couple of new flavours of vodka over the weekend, so can use any announcement as an excuse to crack into those! :T

7 days is long for me - normally 5/6 - and I don't normally have two days of brown at the end. But then I don't normally start with spotting either, and given this is the first period since mc, I think it's just the body sorting itself out rather than anything serious. Tbh, my cycles are so all over the place, it's difficult to call anything abnormal!

I hope yours sorts itself out soon - and in the right way! I think not knowing what's going on is one of the worst bits of ttc. OH thinks everyone should be able to have a portable scanner (able to see microscopic things) so we can see exactly what's happening at any given time - wouldn't that be fab! As it is, I guess we just keep trying to second guess Mother Nature. .. :-S

Happy birthday ellesbelles! I hope the scan goes well and you have a fantastic evening :)

Yeah I can imagine the first AF after mc isn't going to be like a normal period.

I hope it does too. It's driving me mad. My stupid body gives me all of the signs but then does the opposite. I swear the month I actually get pregnant I'll feel no symptoms at all!

Well it looks like AF is 2 days early as the brown has now turned to pinkish red spotting. If she comes into full swing I'll be drinking my weight in wine on Saturday!

ETA CD1 Please Kelly. This is TMI but I go on the basis of it being in the water when I go to the toilet. That's enough for me.

  • This thread moves quickly. Some sad news on here, hugs to those ladies. I know how you feel as I had a MMC before having my son.

I think I have ovulated now or am in the process of doing so. I tried the ov sticks a few times but got fed up of messing with my pee lol.

We managed to BD twice when seemed best in my cycle, so hears hoping.

    I guess I am in the 2ww.

My husband moaned as I had a glass of wine as I may be pg. I told him not to be silly, but what do others do? Until a pg is confirmed or I am near to testing I don't see the point of denying myself? Been a busy week at work so feel I have earned it.

I am taking folic acid though and have been since we agreed to start trying.
  • Sorry, congratulations to the pug and blue green too :j

Can my age be added (31) to my name please when you have a sec

I'd say drink until you get a positive pregnancy test. As long as you're not going mad and binge drinking every night it can't hurt.

ooh aileth I don't know what to suggest. How long are your cycles normally?

I don't think it can do any harm. I actually went off booze for at least one weekend before I found out I was pg with my son. Only had one glass.

I thought I'd give the ov strips another go as having major cramping and bloated, and it came up positive. So I guess it's now officially the 2ww?

We dtd last Saturday and again Tuesday, is it worth doing it again tomorrow eve? I don't feel like it with these cramps and being so gassy lol
  • It was a pregnancy announcement. And scan photos. Vodka didn't do much to stop me feeling like a) a failure of a woman for not conceiving and b) a terrible friend for feeling anything other than happiness :( Not in a good place today.

Diamond Orchid, I'd second lulu on the alcohol - particularly in the first week of tww, it won't have any adverse effects. As for DTD again, it never hurts to give it another try, at least then you know you've done all you can.

Aileth, could it be implantation cramps/bleeding? It sounds about the right time . . . Fingers crossed it is.

Lulu, sorry to hear about AF. Life is just pants sometimes x

Oh BR :( I'd feel the same. I think we all feel that way month after month. We look at the women and girls who fall pregnant without even thinking about it, I know I do.

You're not a terrible friend. It's just crap timing. My best friend sent me a picture of her pregnancy test on the same day that OH told me he wanted to put off trying for four months.

I think you need to have a selfish weekend and treat yourself.

I went to bingo last week and won £500 so I'm using some of my winnings to buy myself a new handbag tomorrow :) Plus it's date night so I'm going to drink myself silly because I'm not pregnant and I can have wine!

Yeah AF sucks, it was 2 days early for me (weirdly Glow guessed right!) but I can't keep getting sad about something that never happened. OH is being more sympathetic and we've got a whole new plan for next month. It is kind of SMEP but it involves DTD every night of the fertile window :rotfl: I'll still use OPKs but hopefully that will do the trick. I'm just scared that there's an underlying reason for it not happening. I'm joining a gym with OH tomorrow and will make myself go every night so that should shift some of this fat and hopefully can be replaced by baby!

    ooh implantation, aileth, could be...
