Snow_ball are you planning to POAS or wait until AF is due? Fx for you, but enjoy that fizz if AF arrives.

No I'm hoping to resist the urge because I really don't think it's possible this month. Before we started TTC I thought I had my ovulation signs sussed, but this last 2 months it appears to have gone haywire which is typical :o AF only lasted 1 day last month so no idea what's going on.

Hbex sorry about the house work disruption, but in your shoes, I'd be carrying on with TTC too x

I've been hugely torn - found out that our long awaited building work will likely start in January. It's going to be hugely disruptive (massive loft conversion, plus major work in most of the other rooms) and it's going to require radiators to be taken out and heating not on for a week or so. All in all it's going to be between 12-14 weeks so over the worst of winter. Not ideal if there's a newborn or I'm massively preggo! Had a heart to heart with DH and we've decided to continue TTC as it would really upset me to not be TTC. Need to feel that I'm doing something, even if it's not 100% effort if that makes sense. If it happens that I get upduffed and am due whilst the work is happening, we'll cross that bridge. A tiny bit of me is hoping that I don't get my BFP until June/July cause then I wouldn't have to live through chaos with a baby, but most of me just wants one ASAP.

Apologies for the essay, happy Wednesday to everyone. :heart2:

There will never be a perfect time - you can always think of excuses, though yours is a pretty good one! Like you say you'll deal with it when it comes. Who can predict the future! Best of luck to you.
  • Hi :-) Lots of updates since I last checked in. Hugs for those who need them!

I think I'm now 1 DPO but I'm not using OPK so can't be sure.

I went to a friend's baby shower at weekend, full of people making unhelpful little comments like "it's your turn next", "when are you planning on having babies"... Etc... We aren't telling anyone we are trying, so found it highly irritating!! It also feels like everyone around me is pregnant right now!!

    Welcome to newbies :D

Sorry for AF and BFNs girls :(

hbex wow sounds like an ordeal! I echo what's been said above about TTC, you will manage, even if it's not ideal.

Thanks for all the well wishes :) OH is much better but I am exhausted! I'm 7/8dpo and I've been cramping a fair bit, but normally I'm met with some really massive spots right now and I haven't yet. Oh well, I'm still not getting my hopes up so we'll see what happens.

    Afternoon all,

AF is finally here but I don't feel too bad about it. Next month is a new month.

My main concern right now is that it looks like I will be 'on' on my wedding day - not ideal in an ivory dress

The medication you can take to delay it cannot be used if you are pregnant so it would mean not ttc the month before just in case. I'm going to discuss it with my dr next week but wondered what you guys thought? Of course, if I get a BFP next month it won't be necessary!

Oh pinkshoes, I am gutted for you. I hope you are taking care of yourself.

I would what to know whats in the medication and how it could affect the months after ttc chickp. Ive never heard of anything like that before.

Im sorry ive not gone to the less than 12 weeks thread yet, I hope you dont mind. I went for bloods today after continuing to bleed and having worsening cramps im 5+6. My hcg is only 299 :( needs to be 1500 to scan apparently...so ive got to go back on Saturday to see if its increased. I dont have a good feeling about it to be honest. OH says to stay positive but I know what my body is telling me. I hope im wrong.

    Hugs to everyone

I've taken norithisterone to delay periods before and it took around 3 mths to get my regular cycle back afterwards. My period came during our honeymoon as expected but even though that was bad timing I wasn't tempted to delay it, we wanted to start ttc as soon as we could.
