    Hi bubbs, and everyone else:D
I think I'd have been tempted to scrape off the 'fur' and use it; maybe that's just me:rotfl:

Wish I had sent them all for you to deal with then Jelly as broke my heart to throw them in the bin. :p

    I got the Pepsi
    Multi sav 2 for 6.50
    I got 3 was only 2.28 sav

Multi "save" was a cost of £2.50 compared to the previous price, and not a saving at all - having you spending more.

At £2, they weren't 10% cheaper than M - so what do they do? Increase the price to £4.39 and 2 for £6.50 - still not 10% cheaper than M!:rotfl:

It seems sometimes the prices they charge change quite independently of whether the stores are cheaper or, in A's case, 10% cheaper or not. They are of course all looking at their competitors' prices - and have the competitors' price information available to them in their data. I suspect, as the ordinary customer doesn't know the prices on anything except bananas, milk and a couple of other items, the stores can change the prices to whatever they want - and no normal customer will ever realise that the price has gone up or down - and only if it's those few items do the stores need to be concerned about whether they are in a public price war or not. Then they will/can shout about the reduced price on that item - and advertise it widely - and people more generally will assume that everything in the store is just as keenly priced when in fact it's often gone up (such as the Pepsi, in some stores maybe, just has and by quite a rip-off price compared to £2 per pack) or in any event people generally, in A at least, get no recompense as the vast majority of receipts aren't entered into the price check. The price of my 'normal' shopping today - items we need - certainly seemed to me to be a more costly shop.
