My under the counter larder freezer has been here since I moved in this house in 1995, the previous owner left it and the matching fridge. Not sure how long they had them for.
The freezer is still going strong but on my third new fridge.

My chest freezer used to be the ice cream freezer at Compton Acres locals will know where I mean. ;) Couple got given it for when they moved in to tide them over and then they freecycled it. Still has remains of the huge New Forest ice cream sticker on the front it just won't completely scrub off. :rotfl:

So I have never actually bought a freezer. :money:

:T:T:T well done, i have een one in curry's but waiting till near when we are back or when we are back, we had our very 1st chest freezer from Bejam:D

Yes the sanex is badly labelled in our store - I was hoping when I saw this receipt that there might be another trigger but no - they have just picked up the 2 bottles

Yayyy, way to go!:D Silly fools bought 2 for £6.38 instead of 3 for £5.00. Some people really do have more money than sense - or at least so little time they can't even spend a split second to save, for them, £1.38*. Perhaps they didn't want to have three:wall:. Alternative possibility is that they weren't to blame - maybe the store had not marked the 3 for £5 offer on the shelf. (In which case, the customer was to blame after all: they should have checked the price online beforehand!:p:D)

Whilst I'm on my 'trip' as to how expensive everything is, those Frosties are still quite dear - I'd compare them to £1.34 or lower. The 'fillers' on the womble vs M, thanks for posting, seemed quite expensive - I'd prefer the 1Kg versions of the Not Butter vs T at £1.40 (and they help reach APG spends and get more of the bill back) and the Robinsons vs £1 seemed quite expensive, but then again I am extreme saving:D:rotfl:.

*And then sell the third one to someone as gullible as they were and total saving would then be £4.57:D.

And my "muggle's shop" got me 64p back, from my best womble's spend. (Just so flaming expensive having to get essential items.)

    Why £0.64?

Frown about those S/P Apples due to how few apples the packs contain rather than the comparison, which got me about 1 or 2p off:(. Oh well - I can spend the 64p (don't spend it all at once:laugh:) - it can get me another pack of those apples next time for an extra 10p, and have me losing 1 or 2p and getting not very many apples for it:(:(:rotfl:. At least the voucher was a bit more than the cash I paid. I left the White Mice to a shop of just a couple of items, couldn't bear to lose 1p if I had got a Haribo or Flump on that one:rotfl:.

"Badly labelled" is no excuse:rotfl:. If there was no label at all, I could excuse them (just about!:D:rotfl:).

well all the discussion we have had last night and today were a complete waste of breath as he has booked his flights to Japan anyway - I thought it was suss that he was keen to hang with us today, should have known I was being soft soaped.
so that's cost him another £400 plus whatever he spends while there and if he cant get into a hostel as its last minute he will be in a hotel, not cheap.
I reckon he has gone through about £20 k since early 2014- 3 visits to Japan and one to Korea - he had a big bonus pay when he came back from tour plus his savings built up while he was away, no access to shops.
But he says what is he saving it for, there is no tomorrow.
his new car didn't cost as much as he thought it might so he is spending the rest. He does realise his pay is going to drop by about £500 but he does not seem to care.
No idea when he is going but he has made a concession by coming back a day earlier then he originally thought - big deal.

not even been back in the UK a week

Eldest son is being an utter pain.

We picked him up from the airport on Tuesday, Wednesday it was New year, Thursday he started looking for a car which he bought on Friday.

he is now bored and on the point of booking flights to Japan even though he will barely have 8 or 9 days there as he starts back at work in 3 weeks. it is equally cold in Japan and his mates there are also all at work.

His mates here have gone back to work and anyway they have all have girlfriends or houses or both so they don't have any spare cash or time to be going out and about with eldest son while he is on leave.

so this morning I suggest getting a game of squash together with his mate, going up to the snow dome place as they have snowboarding lessons on a Sunday afternoon, joining the local running group who meet 2 evenings a week. We suggested that he might actually like to go somewhere when he picks up the car on Monday - going to see his sister or brother or just driving about ... Everything is being rejected or falling on deaf ears

for the moment he has gone off to the gym - this is mostly what he does - gym or x box

next week is going to be a misery
