a snapped hairbobble, a knackered lighter. Yuck alert!!!!!!!

Oh and a rather smelly dead rat to the bin, it was under the floorboards in the hall. Poor hubby had to lift carpet, hardboard and a few floorboards.
Don't be too shocked i live on a farm.

    Wont be recycling it though.

    Regards
    :j
  • Not much decluttering here since I joined...eeek
Managed some regular everyday rubbish but not much else yet.

    Bathroom bins emptied
couple of sauce jars to the glass recycle bin
Food packaging and empty plastic water bottles to recycle bin

Last of the homemade soup in the fridge eaten!

Tbh I feel a bit of a fraud because I haven't yet got any of the nitty gritty stuff cleared yet just your everyday stuff that is meant for a bin! You're all going great guns and I am jealous! :T

I mostly want to declutter my wardrobe, which is so full that there's no room for Narnia in there.
I have a basic 6 month rule, where if it's not been worn in that long it gets taken out to be sold/given to charity (a rule which I flex to the max and hardly ever keep too), and recently I've added a 'something new goes in, something has to get taken out' rule, but it's still chock-a-block.
And I have a large tub of keepsakey but not really things that I don't really need. Drawings I did when I was little e.t.c. Thankfully managed to let go of most old xmas/birthday cards already. So they're my main two goals.

Am I the only one wishing I could rummage in everyone's charity bags before they are given away? ;):D
  • Morning all.
I've been busy decluttering my living room for the last 2 days, but am now thrilled to report that it is now officially clutter free :D
I've also decided not to bother counting my items as I've got rid of so much that I can't actually remember half of what's no longer here lol. Several bags are now in the recycling centre, 2 to the charity shop, 2 bags of rubbish and a small mountain of shredding that I plan to do gradually in the evenings as I bask in my nice neat room, watching Merlin and decluttering some of the wine I got for Christmas (it's hard work but somebody has to do it :P ) I have also managed to sell a few bits so that's a bonus.

I am getting so disheartened. As fast as I am getting rid of stuff more stuff is coming into the house to replace it.

  • Who is bringing it in, Judi? If it's the offspring can their stuff be immediately banished to their rooms?

I have been dabbling in cards, and doing some craft consolidation :)
