I had a quick look around last night and found a few more things to chuck.

Last of the sugar thrown away as it had gone all clumpy. I threw away some fruit teabags that I really didn't like. The end of the black pepper out as I don't like it. I prefer the ground black pepper you get in restaurants so will have to invest in nicer pepper next time.

I also chucked out one lipstick where the tip broke off and another one that I didn't like. I only have one left but it is a gloss and I like it so I will use that until it runs out.

Tip to myself - don't buy things you don't like just because they are cheap or on offer!;)

I just realised I am logged in under my husband's username lol.

  • I managed to kindly give my Mum some stuff, so:-

393-395. Three jumpers (she's keeping two, and donating the other to the CS where she works)
    396. About 10 'posh' cardboard carrier bags with ribbon handles - she is going to take them to the CS

and finally, not to my Mum but to the shoe recycling bin:-

397-398. Two pairs of worn out shoes.

Welcome to the new declutterers :)
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

I am following the 30 Day Get Chucked challenge where you declutter 1 item on day one, 2 on day two etc. By the end of the thirty days you should have decluttered 465 items. I think it is a great idea as it is a nice slow start.

I like the sound of this. I'm off work for a week, oh is working until wed morning so my intention is to have a late spring clean tomorrow and Tuesday, I might incorporate this in with my cleaning and carry on until I've got rid of some clutter.

A couple of years ago we completely pared back all the clutter in our home however recently it has crept back up to an unacceptable level so today I made a start on getting on top of things and clearing out.

So far I have looked out three bags
    • charity shop
    • items to sell
    • bin

To keep focused i am spending 15 mins a day decluttering.
