 I've got this amazing gidget that records records as MP3 files.
From there you can burn CDs.
This amazing gidget can also connect to a computer and, as the records play, record the track as an MP3 on the computer using software that can sort out hiss, snap, crackle and pop.
What it can't do is record as an MP3 and transfer the MP3 file to the computer.
The gidget plays and records in stereo, the computer won't get out of mono mode.
So to transfer my vinyl to computer
I have to record as an MP3
burn a CD
check the sound of the CD and make sure it sounds like the original
and then walk across the room to rip the CD, putting all the information from the record into the computer before the rip.
I then check and amend the details before transferring to an external hard drive.
At the end, I am left with a record I want to get rid of and a CD I no longer have any use for either.
What I've done is put the CDs into the record sleeves and given them away.
And I've run out of CDs.
It's getting hard, this decluttering lark..... Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Hello All :-)
Been AWOL from decluttering party for a while. Think last time I posted, had just moved DD in with me while her room was decorated. It's all done now and she's moved back, minus a good bin bag full of no longer wanted toys and bits and bobs that have been delivered to charity shop. There's still a bit of organising/sorting to do in there, but we'll get there.
Still in general chaos as DS now moved into my room so we can decorate in there. About time, he's really too old for aeroplanes on his curtains. So they'll be some flinging of stuff going on to make sure unwanted things don't return afterwards. It's going to take a while, he has a lot more stuff than DD simply because his room is bigger, so I've been able to let it stay as he's grown up. He has enough Lego in there to build an extension on the house should I need one...
Oh well, onwards and upwards.
Happy Easter all.
