Just one box today, DD's wedding cards in recycling, 25 years old from her first marriage! Didn't even know I had them until this thread started me decluttering. I'd normally cut any cards up for gift tags but we agreed this lot were best disposed of.0

I cleared up the stairs where all the junk mail breeds. We had some catalogues etc going back to the summer  we have a bad habit of not recycling when they come in and leaving other bits on top of them.

After my IKEA marathon yesterday (with list clutched firmly in one hand!) I have decluttered all the plastic fridge/freezer boxes and replaced them with a set that nest properly. I know it is just a straight swap, but the cupboard where they live is so tidy now!

Well Kids are home and the rooms are near enough finished. Beds were cleared of the very little stuff remained, when they go to the Youth Club today I'll finish off the rest.
Need to nip out to Tescos for a few bits, then will be back to start the task of recycling, dumping and sorting for Second hand shop.
House is looking much better already. I'm taking a lot of stress of work out of me by de-cluttering. Thankfully I'm off this week to get it all done, but when I'm back next week it'll be all hands on deck, so need to be as stress-free as possible going in :rotfl:Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

struggling to get going today so I'm picking off lots of quick little easy jobs. It is our rubbish and recycling day tomorrow so trying to get things ready to leave the house.
Tidied the medicine cabinet. Got rid of lots of packaging so everything now fits in the cupboard instead of being scattered all over the house. We're well stocked up on the basics.
Two full bags ready to go to the charity shop and a third beginning to fill. Don't particularly want to take them down today as it is market day, which is loopy anyway, but in half term it is like a zoo :eek:know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Hi KristenTremblay : welcome :hello:
And congratulations. What an exciting time for you all.
My top tip is to take it steady! If your house is anything like mine then it's easy to get overwhelmed with the scale of the task. So I've set myself the aim of decluttering 1-2 items a day. I usually do more than that, but on days where it's not possible I still feel like I'm headed in the right direction. And more importantly I still feel I'm succeeding, so I don't get disheartened and give up.0 -
Welcome Kristen and hope you manage to get lots done before the baby is here. I am unable (due to ill health) to spend hours at a time de-cluttering but just a few things at a time is really making a difference. It took me ages to do our bedroom but was surprised at how much stuff we got rid of and up to yet I honestly haven't missed a single thing.
The spare room today is now missing -

Not a lot done today but it took a long time to get into the state it is in and at the end of the day its not a race. One item out is better than nothing.MARCH £62.38/2500
