Good morning!
Was expecting to wake up to snow this morning, thankfully there's nothing - yet!
Have paid the minimum payments to the two cards, so £50 off cc2 and £8.28 off cc3. Will make additional payments over the next couple of weeks, but feel better knowing at least the minimum is taken care of.
£27.96 spent on shavings for the little ones. I was getting these delivered in bulk as it worked out about £1.50 per bale cheaper, but 1. The bales were smaller and not as absorbent as the ones I'm using now and 2. I'd never got the money to buy in bulk so they were funded by Mr o/d - hence the reason I never seem to get anywhere with paying it off! The nice young lad in the shop did tell me to keep an eye out as they'd be on offer (prob 3 for 2) in the next few weeks. Will keep a watch on the website for that!
Car tax is done! Took the 6 month d/d option as it was nearly £5 per car cheaper. It won't come out until next week so must ensure the money is in the right account at the right time!
Swags were very good to me again last night and managed to gain 250+ with minimum effort - puts me over half way to my next £5 GC. Have pulled together a wish list on Amazon for gift ideas to spend the vouchers on so I can keep tabs on the prices.
Have got a bag full of stuff to start ebaying - will try and get a couple of items on tonight all bring well.
Have a good day x0 -
I use cardboard bedding, but it's now £8.25/bale. For a waste product. luckily mine are mostly out these days so I don't use much.
I thought the DD option on the car was actually more expensive but admittedly haven't looked into it.
Well done on the swags/fleabay.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37
AFD March 2/15 NSD March 2/11 :T
Other debts paid since 1/1/14: £17,0050 -
Crazy isn't it mfm? I was paying £5.80 a bale but needed to buy 80 to get them at that price and I was putting 2 in a week. The new ones are £6.99 a bale but I'm only putting one in every 6 or 7 days, so works out a bit cheaper overall. Wish I could trust the ponies on straw as that's included but the greedy little boys will gorge themselves on it and probably give themselves colic!
The monthly dd does work out more expensive, however there is the option to do 6 month dd which is cheaper. Bad timing having both due at the same time otherwise I'd have just paid the whole lot and been done with it.
Not a lot to report money wise - will probably need to fill up with petrol later but no other spends planned.

Mine were all of wood pellet for a bit, lovely smelling stables, extremely absorb and light to muck out, you need either rubber matting to compliment it or a lot of it for protection. Trouble with it was, I needed a pallet load to make it cheaper, but it's good stuff

I did try pellets at one point for the little ones but found them too absorbent! Mucking out was a nightmare cos as their droppings are so tiny the pellets took all the moisture out of them and they just crumbled into the bed! I'd imagine they'd be great for bigger horses but I just didn't get on with them at all!0

Happy Monday lol! Haha who am I kidding! The weekends just don't seem long enough.
Been a busy (spendy) weekend
my car battery completely failed on me so £90 of unplanned spends to replace it. The main thing is I'm back on the road now. Big man also managed to trash one of his rugs  OH told me to just order another but because of his size I'm limited as to what I can have for him - a new one was going to cost £100
However, in true MSE fashion a friends recommended someone to fix it, she's also going to repair a couple of stable rugs for me and reckons all in it should be about £23. Happy with that.
Listed a load of clothes on ebay last night so will see if there's any takers. Got a few watchers so fingers crossed. Swagged another £5 gc, so that's all good.

Not really much to update. Had a £5 morrisons voucher from their match and more scheme which I put towards a small top up shop. No more payments made as yet as am waiting for all the dd to go out. Well and truly naffed off with the weather at mo, I'm so ready for spring!!!!0

Grrr so much for frugal Feb
updated my spreadsheet and things aren't looking fantastic already. I have a feeling SLC have continued taking payments after they told me it would be on hold until April when my DD kicked in. Need to get hold of my wage slip next week and check this out and contact them again if need be. With the road tax and battery overpayments are now going be at a minimum grrr! Will carry on ebaying but won't pay off as much as I would like.
Have a couple of small bids at the mo - approx £10, so better than nothing. Swags I'm nearing another £5gc, so can't moan there.
Hoping for a nice relaxing weekend - have a good one x0
