Congratulations! So is it a Shetland for his first Christmas? :)
£250 shopping, diesel and any other spends
    December 16- January 15 £345.06/250.00 -£95.06
    £2 saving a day for christmas 2017 £0/£730
Total debt paid off before 26 December 2017 £3142.31/14,053.85 = £10911.54 left to go
  • Thanks Cwtchie! He's already got the pick of two Shetties altho I wouldn't trust either of them with him lol!

I've realised I've miscalculated my mat pay, completely forgot we get paid a month in advance, which makes December my last month at full pay :( However I also thought the lump sum I got at the beginning of mat leave included the statutory maternity pay - thankfully it didn't it was just the pay in lieu of holiday I was taking, so I've got a few months on SMP to come. Would have been so much easier had HR sat down and gone through it all, like they used to but no it's too much trouble now grrrr!

I've arranged the money transfer from the cc to payback the money used to buy the car, far cheaper than arranging a loan. It's on 0% until September, at which point I'll transfer the remaining onto another 0% deal.

Had a letter through from the student loan company saying I was due a refund :j phoned up but the system was down and I need to phone back tomorrow. Was daydreaming about it being enough to make a dent in the car repayments, but no such luck - I've just checked my online slc account and its £29.90! Shouldn't moan it's £29.90 more than I had yesterday!

Have listed a few bits on eBay and fb selling pages. Have £5 bid on eBay up to now with lots of watchers, £15 in my pocket from fb and another £15 to come today providing the buyers turn up, so that's all good.

Have sent my change of ownership notification off for the old car so hopefully should receive I think 2 months back. Won't be a great deal - maybe £20 but it all helps.

It's blowing a gale here but feel so fortunate we've got it nowhere near as bad as some. Saw a heartbreaking photo of a poor horse stranded in the flood water in Cumbria on the Internet - so sad.

    Stay safe everyone X
