  • The relisted ebay item finished last night - only £7 but better £7 knocked off the cc than it sitting cluttering up the tack room!

Listed a dozen other items - just odds and s0ds, won't make much but every little helps.

Nothing much planned for today. Will plough on with a bit more decluttering this morning, then hopefully have a lazy afternoon to recharge the batteries ready for work.

    £7 for dust and clutter....yay!
£250 shopping, diesel and any other spends
    December 16- January 15 £345.06/250.00 -£95.06
    £2 saving a day for christmas 2017 £0/£730
Total debt paid off before 26 December 2017 £3142.31/14,053.85 = £10911.54 left to go
  • Morning....

Was back to work yesterday following the Easter bank hols - didn't go down too well especially as the sun was out.

Made £100 payment to cc1 and have £10 in bids on the fleabay items so hopefully should be making another small payment at the weekend.

On countdown to turning the big lad out overnight - got a few bits to do with the fencing first and just waiting for the ground to dry out a wee bit more. Others on the yard have already turned out but their fields are trashed again as the grounds still soft - another couple of weeks should about see it right. Have also decided to change the little ones onto straw. We get it supplied with the livery costs but have had them on shavings as they're greedy! Currently paying around £50 a month for the shavings - so a decent saving to be made, just need to find a way to stop them troffing too much of their bed!
  • Monday morning again!!!! Why do the weekends go so fast???

Relatively low spend weekend, spent £25 on food shopping and that's been pretty much it.

Ebay sales went much better than expected and have managed to make just over £70 - well happy with that. £60 has landed in my paypal account so I've paid this straight off the cc so as not to leave me open to the temptation of treating myself lol!

Big lad still in at night, although won't be long now. I have wooden post going round his fatty paddock this week all being well, so once that's done I'm kicking him out!

Need to get back on track with swagging - I've lost the plot with that, but could really do with the vouchers for Xmas so need to get back on track.

    Have a good day x

We're on countdowen too for one reason and another. I'm sarting the pony out overnight only as I don't want him to get all cresty on me. Hopefully he won't be too bad as the grass isn't through that much yet. We've moved the big girl to shavings to stop her eating her bed and she's been diagnosied with respiratory issues so hopefully that will help slightly whilst we wait for the countdown to turn out. Will yours be out full time?
    Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)

    Loan 1 £1787
    Loan 2 £1683
    Total £8601 Was £39302
  • Hi df :hello: The big man will be out 24/7, all be it on restricted grazing as he's a fatty lol! The little ones are still being reintroduced to the green stuff, as its taken a year for my cushings pony to come right following a severe bout of lami and abscessing. They're out for a couple of hours a day at the mo and loving it! Hope you get your girlies respiratory issues sorted - there's always something isn't there!

The last couple of ebayers paid up, so another £11.05 paid off the cc. All parcels posted :j I've counted up my 20ps and coppers and have £12 I'm able to bank- I'll pay this into my account later and again knock it off the cc.

Have a good day - let's hope the sun keeps shining

That's our problem, all the mares are in one huge field and the geldings in a separate field. No restriction options or you can pay for a paddock but then you only get 2 hours a day for a fortune a month!

Great news re the coppers making pounds and the parcels going out. I'm sending mine this afternoon on the way to the yard.

  • Payday!!!! Time for the monthly scores.....

    Cc2 was £1991.46 now £1739.49 (decrease £251.97)
    Cc3 was £710 now £700 (decrease £10)
    Od was £733.60 now £715.10 (decrease £18.50)

    Total was £3435.06 now £3154.59 (decrease £280.47)

    Emergency Fund - was £250 now £400

Improvement on last month but the totals still not going down quick enough for my liking!

    Aims for this month:

    1. Pay £300 off cc2
    2. Swag at least £10 for Christmas fund
    3. Add a further £250 to emergency fund
    4. Ebay at least 10 items

Hopefully this month I will save approx £50 following the shavings to straw switch - hopefully I can use this to try and bring the OD down. Will also be using less hay now the big lads out, won't be a massive saving as got a good deal on the hay, but should work out at around £15 a month whilst the current stock is still going.

So pleased it's Friday - I've well and truly ran out of steam this week lol!
