Well it sprayed sunny all day! Beautiful in fact, touch of spring.
Naughty monkey pony had pulled his rugs off this morning, so changed him into a fleece. Fed, turned them all onto the yard with plenty of frolicking due to being inside for just one day yesterday. Decided to wash monkey Ponys tail, which went well until he decided to rear up and try to free himself from his collar and lead rope! 5 attempts later he stopped and ate his hay
. I finished washing his tail, elbow deep in carp muttering like mutely lol.
Mucked out the stables, watered and hay'd for this evening, mixed evening feeds as well, one job less for later.
Run up to the house to make elevensies looked out and monkey pony had stripped again! Oh well, maybe being a bit chilly will help him behave
Made toast for elevensies on rayburn, strawberry jam from hamper from bosses at Christmas.
Cleaned my bedroom top to bottom, moved bed and hoovered cobwebs (lots)!
Brought potatoes to the toil then left them in the warmer to cook for later.
Mash, bacon and mushroom mixed up together for tea. Yum yum.
Back down yard to bring in feed, and clean yard for tomorrow morning, up for shower, bliss.
Finally sat down now watching eastenders

Very wet and windy wales this morning. Wore my ski trousers to do the yard (not that ive ever been skiing lol) kept warm and dry. Horses in today tucked up warm. Chihuahua recovering from accident yesterday when proper dog and him got excited on seeing my mum come through the gate, usually when she comes back she brings them a treat, proper dog ran across the back of settee, Chihuahua was in yapping mode and proper dog knocked Chihuahua clean off back of settee, much searching later with beating heart, found him on window sill huddled up clearly not impressed, but not hurt just embarrassed.
Browned chicken earlier on hob with onions and mushrooms, all from aldee, added a jar of tikka sauce, aldee again, and can of reduced tomatos, brought to boil and put in simmering cooker for later. That will go down a treat when we come back up from yard later.
Mum and DH helped me to do the horses this morning, lovely.
Off out now to farm shop to search for pipes and connectors to do the auto water feeders.

ive just spent ages doing a post and its gone

Oh well, quick recap:
Browned chicken in frying pan with onions and mushrooms, can of tomatos and curry sauce, brought to the boil and put in simmering oven for later, will go down a treat when we come back from yard this afternoon.
Off out now to search for pipes and connectors for auto feeders, will make life much easier.
Had a barney with the couriers this morning, STILL havnt been to collect parcels!!!
Chihuahua better today, had an accident yesterday which rendered him in shock lol!
Mum came through the gate from shopping and both he and proper dog saw her and because she usually gives them a treat when she comes back they went beserk! Proper dog in her haste knocked Chihuahua clean off back of settee onto windowsill. We didn't know where he was and pulled the settee out, Christmas tree etc. and then saw him, behind the blinds looking very sorry for himself, nevermind a cwtch later and he felt better.
Hoping to have a low spend today but need to stock up for the rest of January according to my meal planner. Hoping to spend around £30 as I do have a lot in but need a sack of potatoes as well. Mum is paying for pipes as part of present
DD in work again today will be drenched when she gets in so a curry will warm her up.

Turned out to be a great afternoon, cold and sunny. Managed to get about half the water pipe installed and DH says we will finish one set of stables tomorrow. Weather is meant to be good tomorrow so hopefully gee gees can go out and stop leaping at the big shiny scary ladder!
Curry was yum for tea, made chips to go with it.
DH treated me to lunch - bacon roll from burger van, scrummy
Saw a young woman with 3 children and a husband. She loaded the trolley, put it on the belt, into the trolley, into the car, took the trolley back - he stood and starred into space! Felt really sorry for her, she was clearly rushed off her feet
.
DH smugly informed me how good he is lol
Shopping cost £31.87
20kg of potatoes from a man in a van
3 bags of chicken breasts frozen
A large gammon - now cut in half for two meals from each bit hopefully
2 Colgit 3in1 toothpaste which was 75p in Aldee so bought 2
Butter x4
and....12 pints of milk
Really chuffed as budget was £30 but the gammon was much bigger than usual and I have two
Not much housework done today so feeling the stress, clutter quietly coming back
Need to do yard again tomorrow and help get the water pipes in so probably not much housework tomorrow either...sigh
Lent DD £30 today for petrol, she said she'll give it back.....hmmmmm
Courier finally arrived, so dining table clear again
Looking forward to taking down the tree but won't do it till Tuesday in case of bad luck, don't want anymore.
Need to made a curtain pole for toilet as there is no blind on it or anything, just obscure glass, so tight these days I have asked DH if he has a "bit of metal" for hangers and an old broom handle for the pole??? He looked at me so "ok...so now you've really lost the plot!" So I said, rustic look!!, you know looks so much better than bought!? ....maybe I did go a step too far
Anyway dishes all done, tv on, two dogs and a cat cwtched up to me on the settee - cwtched for those who are not welsh means, cuddled, snugged, hugged and made to feel better, it's a nice soft word
.

Glad the little chihuahua's feeling better and yay to the automatic drinkers!
Thanks for explaining cwtched - was just about to go off and Google it! Lovely word - I like it
Enjoy the rest of your weekend x0 -
Forgot to say yesterday that also got some fabric softener at £1.99 reduced, included in my £31

Today spent in stables, have now plumbed in 3 out of 5 auto water fillers, lovely tonight not having to empty and refill the buckets. Will have to go back down again tonight to check that the big babies are going to drink out of them, and not just hide at the back of their stables all night - despite the field having a very similar water system which they think is fine lol
DD rode today, first time for 4 days due to work and mini holiday. Both horses went well and she was pleased...phew!
Am trying bake pots in oven today, still hard so I think I need to put them in a lot earlier.
NSD for me today, I LOVE that feeling
Have joined a few challenges and will try to keep at it.
Have been off work since October but have agreed to go back (still from home) in January, so from tomorrow onwards I will be expecting a phonecall
Will have to see how it goes, I don't want to end up not knowing whether I was coming or going like I nearly was a few months ago. Even though my job is very well paid it is extremely stressful and I think I prefer not working
But hey ho, needs definitely must.
Ticking over is not ok and I need to attack the debts with a view to either then paying off the mortgage or buying another house

A funny old day today. Feeling a bit under the weather and run down. Did yard this morning and water feeders still ok, well on the wall and not leaking, hay in them as well so looks like they have been used.
DH fed horses this morning as I was late getting down the yard due to parcels needing wrapping and their delivery being booked last minute. DD rode today only one though due to working and then the rain came in. Young horse went very well, straighter and much snappier in transitions.
Had a boring dinner tonight, Crispy Chicken and Chips, oh well was quick to do.
Feel like having about 5 duvet days in a row
Anyway good news is 3 NSD in a row and 4/17 for January.
Funny but tonight I really wanted to cave in and go to the chippie for tea, but the thought of ruining my NSD challenge and burning the rest of my £57.15 left of my January budget on a chippie kept me on the straight and narrow.
Thanks guys
