Thanks all.
I have had a massive positive today.
DS1 started school in September so in FS. This term he decided he would like to try after school Street Dance. They don't do any real PE in FS and he loves dancing so paid the £20 for the 5 sessions. Picked him up last week and he hated it and said he was never going back. After a tantrum this morning we persuaded him to give it one more chance so he agreed. Picked him up this evening and he was buzzing and pleaded with me to let him go back next week. So proud of him.
Had to top up the electricity meter so I'm now not going to make my target of 20 SPDs. £30 in a monthDH WAS topping it up £20 every payday (he gets paid fortnightly so it was enough) he hasn't paid for any of it this month so I'm a bit disappointed

Today I am grateful for a warm house, for finding 1p on the floor, for caring colleagues, for reading Asterix with dd (she found it hard to start with, but can't get enough of it now!), for being able to choose not to get the shopping today.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Evening all
cupcake - sorry to hear about your OH not being supportive and playing fair. I completely understand what you say about being in a bad mood and trying to avoid arguments - often a similar thing happens in our house
lilt - sorry to hear your sad news
Today was a spendy day as needed a few bits to finish off dinner so stocked up on milk to last until the weekend. Took lunch to work and walked the dogs
Just a heads up, apparently this Thursday the next Ald! voucher is in the paper
Today I am grateful for;
1.) Having good friends
2.) Having a quieter day than normal

NSD number 10 today.
When I first moved in with my (now) DH, he was the one in debt and I had plenty of savings- which then all went on the deposit for our house, while he didn't have a penny to put towards it. I had us split everything exactly 50/50 to help him come out of debt and luckily it didn't take too long. I persuaded him to sell his car which he had bought with a loan, plus pay off other loans little by little. Thankfully he progressed well in his career and now earns far more than I do, so we now both pay 50% of our salary into the joint account. At first he was a little against this idea (I guess he got used to just paying the same amount as I did for things) but I soon made him see sense that it wasn't fair us both paying exactly the same amount when he earns more. So everything joint (mortgage, food, bills etc.) comes out of joint account and then we're both free to spend (or save!) the rest of our earnings how we wish.
Anyway, today I am grateful for:
1. DH actually being home tonight and putting the bins out!
2. Lovely colleagues
3. Sweet chilli sauceLetting Go NST #17

Well money is just money. Life, family and health is what matters. Got to find the balance, life is too short. One of our best friends had a brain haemorrhage yesterday and is in a coma. Her DD is the same age as our DS. Puts things into perspective...
Sorry, seems to be the month of bad news on here.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Big hugs to everyone with bad news and uncooperative partners.
Another SFD. Went to old house to wait for delivery of DS2's new phone but made him give me money for bus fares in advance. Phone arrived in first ten minutes so took more rubbish from the shed and filled the bin for next week so exercise and walk done for the day. lazy afternoon as I had only had 5 hours sleep.
Today I am grateful for
1) lovely bin men who keep emptying the bin - I put it as near to the edge of the drive as I can when I have to go up there and they have emptied it for me.
2) lovely neighbour who offered to put it back when it has been emptied
3) lovely bus driver who would not take my money - has happened a few times before and after my operation, think they take the view that I am disabled, whether I have the bit of paper to say so or not. Before my op I was struggling to get on and off the bus whilst those with passes were skipping about. On one hospital visit, a tall sprightly man who must have been in his eighties offered to help me.

Sweeeeeeping in with a mega quick check-in! I have had the quickest of scans over the posts on this page- so much sad news- I am truly sorry to hear it and am sending all of you and extended others love, hugs and positivity. It is truly shocking how things can change in a fleeting moment, how important it is to really appreciate what we have, and how important it is to look after those in need, when we can and however we can.

Very busy day today, but hoping to finish work a little earlier tomorrow so I should be about for a proper catch up with you lovely lot!
12sfds- Now in the bag! :T
Budgets are still in order and pay day in 4 days. Going to try hard to get the grocery budget to last out to the very end of the month though!
Positives Today:
* Another epic sing along to The Lion King Musical Soundtrack in my car on my commute to work, made the journey so much easier again.
*My lovely seniors completing and sending my references for uni off today. One of them CC'd me into the email reference- it was so lovely I very nearly cried.
* Baking chocolate brownie with the other half this evening and watching a tv programme about famous cat video clips made for a fun and silly evening. So nice to escape from the real world for a bit. My OH has been quite down about losing his job last week, but I will keep picking him up where I can.
Right-o, really must get to bed as it's an earlier start tomorrow!

We used to have a joint account but he cleaned it out a few years back so we have our own finances. I guess I've become quite possessive with what is mine as a result.
