Morning guys.
Have survived DS's friends coming for a sleepover (almost - they are still bumping and crashing about now), not sure whether I will clock up a SFD today or not but if not it will be a low spend day.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Been reading lots of OS threads and will replace fabric softener with white vinegar when it runs out, also going to buy cheap washing powder and wash at 30 unless things are dirty. Not buying any cleaning products or toiletries this month.
I'm obsessed by doing laundry the right way (get it from my mum) switching from a branded powder was a big deal for me. I always use the colour care ones and I fine shops own powders don't dissove well at 30. I have recently switched to Lidl's liquid colour care. It's a massive bottle think it promises 30-40 washes but I always use less then it states and I'm sticking with it so I can recommend itOverdraft: [STRIKE]£529[/STRIKE] £199 BC: [STRIKE]£697.82[/STRIKE] £1974.02 MBNA: [STRIKE]£1874[/STRIKE] £517.00 -

Sorry, haven't abandoned you all, did mega post on 1st and lost it just before I pressed post! Didn't have time to redo it then so just updated my sig with this month's budgets, then had no time yesterday to do anything but check all your updates. Will post properly later, just about to go swimming with DS1 as promised would take him this afternoon but his football training's been cancelled so going now before we talk ourselves out of it - I don't really like swimming and he likes his Xbox better... lol! Hi All
Update for me. Spent £6.99 of my leisure spends today. This was on a bike lock for my son's new bike so a very important spend.
Went shopping. Got excellent bargains due to the post Christmas timing. Stilton for £1 & jars of mince meat for 10p. I got 100 nectar points just for buying cat food so have got enough dry to last me 6 weeks now. As cat food is one of the things we end up going to the shop for and just spending a bit more that is really good.
Also earned 10p off my next shop, 1p reward from a cash back app and entry into a £100 shop prize draw. If I won I'd buy all dry goods and freezer food.
Oh and used 3p roadkill towards the shopping. Earned 0.75 in nectar points too.

Helloooooooooooooooooo...
OH's parents went away last night and then we went to the final family party. It was great (although I spent a lot of it just with a few close relatives for a while which was my favourite bit).
:happyhear
Today is D-Day for us... that is Domestication Day. As per our new year rules (resolutions always seem to get broken within two days), the house must be cleaned every Sunday.
However.... we didn't have any space for washing whilst OH's parents were here so we have a HUGE pile waiting for us. First load is on now (I think we are looking at maybe four loads in total).
Plan for today (now that we have recovered from last night) is to go through our freezer and see what we have... which is heaps!! We are going to attempt to meal plan the best we can.
I have decided to do the recipe challenge (in the old moneysaving section or something like that). The aim is to do one new recipe a week from a recipe book or the internet. We have about 20 recipe books so I should really use them.
I have every intention of today being a SFD but due to my own inability to do anything, I am not going to count it until later. Saves on admitting I was wrong.
Am glad NSK is doing okay. It's a shame that she misses us though... really want her to enjoy the trip. Kat really is an inspiration. Just hope she blogs more often!!Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Hi everyone. I had to buy a pet carrier today as my cat has not been himself for a few days now. I'm guessing a respiratory issue. I was going to the emergency vet today, but would he get in the carrier  He has been off his food for a couple of days although Dr said she saw him eating when I was in bed. He has also taken up camp in the toilet by the radiator. Come Monday the latest, if he is still Nything like this, the whole. Family will have to help get in in the carrier. He is 13 and feel I'm taking chances as it is, but I could not physically force him in the carrier and no one else was awake:o. I'm stealing myself for the vets Bill!
Everything else is ok though, the shred is going well and I'm certainly not looking forward to no more leisure days come Monday, lol. Well take care everyone and keep going:T:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Walked dog this morning pouring down. Dry now!
Cleaned house decorations down. Washing done Bedding on line.
Knackered pigged out 2mince pies poured cream all over them. Not going on naughty step as now on 3 sfd. Will need petrol and milk next few days boo hiss.
It's nice that Kat is missing her turtles, I wish I was brave enough to travel alone. Driven around Florida by myself, was tad nervous if I should break down alone. When is she back? Will set monthly cc targets next week, and trying so hard this year.
