I think, Igor, here would be a good place to make camp, we could have an early night then be up and at the North Pole by lunchtime tomorrow. If you crack on and get all the tents up, Swedish Chef can get a fire going and Hubert can help me get the kettle on for a cuppa. I think we all deserve one after a long day's march across the Arctic wasteland......No, Hubert, don't try and help Igor with the tents, he has all the specialist stuff like ropes, hammers, tentpegs and that natty little Swiss army knife with the screwdriver, corkscrew and that thing for getting boy scouts out of horses' hooves.....MIND THE ROPES Hubert.....!!!!!....Oh oh, too late........

Well today was another lovely NSD - taking me to 15 please Marmite! Hmm better increase my target to 20 (and I had better get knitting more mittens for the final push to the North Pole!)

I use backpacks. They make it much easier on my back (long term lower spine issues), and carrying plastic/canvas bags would have been nigh on impossible while I had a broken wrist. It also makes me more compact (width wise) for navigating around other pedestrians ;)

I have a 18 litre sized one (daypack style) for when I just want a few bits and bobs, and a 50 litre sized one (week+ walking with everything on your back) for larger shops/bulkier items

The staff at my local A!di have got quite used to me and my backpacks ;)

I also use them for trips to Mr T (1.6miles or 3.2miles from home), Mr A (1.7miles or 3miles from home) and Mr M (10 minute walk from home), but won't be such a regular/well known sight in those stores!
Oh yes! Thanks for the tip

But think.of the exercise you get, no need for gym membership - how MSE is that!

That's exactly what i kept thinking about while wondering how many steps i had logged on my fit bit flex. Also did a few weight lifts with the bags. Figured i might as well do some strength training while at it :D

I'm glad it's not just me that does that with the shopping bags :rotfl:

Nearly a NSD today, took some slippers back that were an xmas present and split already, made it out of store without spending...then £2 on a cropped sports top in primarni sale, no running tights to match (it was a print I've prev checked out instore) so may or may not keep the top. Prob won't need it on my run in the morning  brrrr
