May I remind passengers going on the North Pole trip that they will be expected to donate another NSD to the Cauldron of Doom. On account of there being no shops at the North Pole. (No, Igor, Ipads and laptops not allowed, and mobile phones won't work so no internet shopping for you, my lad!)

Ooooo... I should be able to do that :T

Especially given that I f-f-f-f-f-forgot to get one today ;)

Having lost yesterday to the window cleaner I went out for hair dye. Picked up several other bits that would lose me an NSD, then got home to realised I'd forgotten the hair dye !!

I was going to wait until next my next spend day, but seeing as it's my birthday next Friday, then on the Sunday I'm off to GD3's birthday party (with OH and his niece) I rather fancied getting it coloured before then. So I nipped down the road and surrendered another NSD today.

Then I may have somehow picked up some biscuits I managed to resist yesterday - and a pile of books as well !!! Happened to spot the books in A!di totally by accident - a set of 8 at £2.99 each, and I'd previously being eyeing up one title in places but couldn't get it for under the cover price of £12.99. That had lead me on to 1 or 2 others, but never less than £5 even second hand. So a set of 8 for under £24 seemed just tooooo much of a bargain to leave behind :o

Roll on payday, esp and OH b'day is the day before I get paid (well actually it's not this month as my p'day falls on a weekend but I could really do without b'day gifts out of my Dec pay at times)

    No NSD today
Did my weekly shopping today. Got everything from Aldi and was amazed at the quality of the fruit and veggies in store. Everything cost me just over 10 pounds and I know I could easily have doubled this amount at my regular store.

Only trouble is that I had to carry my shopping all the way to the Railway Station and onto the train home. :)

I use backpacks. They make it much easier on my back (long term lower spine issues), and carrying plastic/canvas bags would have been nigh on impossible while I had a broken wrist. It also makes me more compact (width wise) for navigating around other pedestrians ;)

I have a 18 litre sized one (daypack style) for when I just want a few bits and bobs, and a 50 litre sized one (week+ walking with everything on your back) for larger shops/bulkier items

The staff at my local A!di have got quite used to me and my backpacks ;)

I also use them for trips to Mr T (1.6miles or 3.2miles from home), Mr A (1.7miles or 3miles from home) and Mr M (10 minute walk from home), but won't be such a regular/well known sight in those stores!
