Well I forgot to WI this morning (a Freudian slip?)

    ...sprouts & carrots...

Good luck with your WI tomorrow.

You wouldn't believe the feelings of envy you've just given me with your sprouts!

They're usually in short supply here, I don't think the Spanish eat them, but I haven't seen a Brussels sprout all winter and I'm fancying some now... :rotfl:

What does make me feel better though is the fact that I am telling you all instead of giving up and fully embracing old habits :) I need to accept that when times are tough that I may wobble or fall spectacularly however I can pick myself up, dust myself off and embrace the 0% fat yoghurt and carry on :D

As Scarlet said...... Tomorrow is another day!

Ooh, another Gone With the Wind fan? I love that film! If it wasn't so long I'd watch it all the time.

Well done for catching yourself before going down that slippery slope and sorry to hear you've had bad news. Hope you're getting lots of hugs and that things get better for you soon.
Reporting in with a 2.5lb loss this week Shala which means I am now the proud owner of a 6st shiney :j:j:j.
    :j :T  :j :T  :j :T

That's brilliant news, well done you!

We're shopping today and I was thinking a cafe breakfast might be in order but I'm so inspired now I might have something more healthy before we go. The cafe does a lovely breakfast and it's all free food but probably not cooked to SW standards!

Well done to all the losers, hugs to anyone that needs them.

Have a good day everyone, catch you later.

    Menu for tomorrow will be a green day as follows;

B fresh pineapple and ff Greek yogurt
L 3 sesame ryvita (heb) 4 laughing cow extra light blue (hea) carrot, celery and cucumber
    Snack banana
D lentil Dahl (with bns, aubergine, courgettes, carrot, onion and tomatoes) served with rice
    Supper crisps (5 syns)

Drinks will be fruit teas and coffees using 2nd hea milk

Looking at your menus Seabee, you could easily convert to a few EESP days or meals if you wanted to boost the weightloss at some point. So maybe think about replacing bananas and pineapple with different fruits.
I think the Frylight was on for £1.50 in Asda this morning too.

It's on offer in Tesco too. I'm thinking now that they're selling it off to introduce even tinier cans in the future.

Well done for coming straight back rummer. Since joining SW I've come to realise that weightloss can be very linked to emotions one way or another. What I do know is you'll definitely feel better about yourself and more able to cope when you're thinner.:A

Just keep ranting lantanna, it's better than keeping it to yourself.

I'm out for an off plan lunch, haven't even looked at the menu. Good news, I got through all of yesterday with no chocolate and no cheese!!:D

    Congratulations, b-e-g.

Lois, I’ll enjoy the sprouts for you ;)

Well, I did pluck up enough courage to step on the scales and I was thrilled to see STS! All the walking in Madrid must have counteracted much of the naughty stuff. I am so pleased, it’s enough to spur me on again :) Thanks for keeping the chart, shala.

I think it was lantanna that mentioned the book “Fat Chance” by Nick Spalding. I kept meaning to say that it was a good laugh. :rotfl: Thanks for the recommendation.

Still feeling pretty miserable, but off to put chicken in sc. I was thinking if I don't have much of the sauce it's cooked in (might need some, in case it's a bit dry otherwise), then it won't be as many syns as I estimated. Here's hoping!

    Enjoy your day, peeps.

  • Try and avoid a big weight loss the first week as it doesn't count towards your SOTW award and only half for SOTM, so aim for a big loss the second week and take home the basket of fruit!

It was started by lushlifesaver quite a while ago. It is called MSE Slimming World Support. It's not very active atm but nice to have.
I've sent you a link as I don't think we're allowed to post them here.

Could I please have the link too, I did ask when lush was setting it up but never heard anymore.

Sorry I missed these, I've been away from the forum for a while as you might have noticed. I am trying to use the Facebook group more now as I am really struggling and it's easier to access/be accountable as I can post pics etc from my iPhone whereas I'm not organised enough to do any of that stuff from my laptop/a desktop!
Sorry I missed you out initially Meg :( I feel quite bad for that.

So... I am struggling. I did quite well most of last week but on Wednesday I had two cookies and Friday some issues kicked off at home which led to a little chocolate and a cookie sneaking in (thanks to one of bf's colleagues kicking up a huge fuss about bf's inkind sponsorship from their employer and him wanting 28days paid holiday like bf gets so they gave him that and told bf they won't support him any more so we are left with the decision...does bf work and quit team GB or does his quit work and focus more on GB...I think we are going with the latter so will be belt tightening a fair bit in the next month or so) anyway so to let all that out :/:(

I have been wondering if I have been eating too much. Lunch at work last week was a jacket potato (medium sized) with beans or left overs (tiny portion - only fit in one of wonder bairn's pudding pots!) plus a plate full of salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, red cabbage, hard boiled egg) and they are big plates at work. Breakfasts have all been HeB Weetabix with HeA milk. Been snacking on tubs of melon, strawberries, grapes and sweet clems. Evening meals tend to be where the syns come in but I flexi-syn occasionally (maybe 2 days a week and cut syns on two other days to compensate) and usually make mine as few syns as possible compared to bf!

I lost 1lb or so last week; had hoped for more but I know its always harder to lose weight the closer you are to target/your body's happy weight and I'm nowhere near as far from that as I was when I first did SW. Also finding it much harder to get any walking/exercise in so I'm starting to walk to the local shops/appointments etc where possible. Need to make more time for my Zumba game too as I do actually love going on that when I have chance!

So.. I will be on here at least once a day to post my menus, I'll be posting daily photos on the Facebook group; usually lunch sometime maybe evening meals too. I recently added a post to the group which gives the detaisl of some other groups which have been a help recently regarding Syn values etc. I am not going to eat any more chocolate bars (not even freddos). If I get a real hankering for chocolate I will promise myself a treat when I get home...usually I get there and no longer fancy one as I'm looking forward to tea! And I bought some mini milks as an after tea treat if I'm craving something cold and sweet! We got a musclefoods delivery yesterday too so lots of lovely chicken breasts and extra lean mince now in the freezer :) I'm going to make some chill con carne (mild to suit both me and wonder bairn) packed with free/super free veggies in the next week or so (depending on what yellow sticker/cheap veggies I can find) Which I will turn in to lunches; also planning on making frittata tonight to give that a try :)

    Todays menu:
Breakfast: two wheat biscuits (heb) with milk from hea, cup of tea with milk from hea
lunch: ham salad - wafer thin smoked ham, hard boiled egg, lettuce, some sliced red pepper, cucumber and baby tomatoes. 1 tbsp extra light salad cream ( not sure on syns; will call it 2?)
aldi summer fruits yogurt - 125g mango and passionfruit; one of the facebook group lists syns as 2.5 so will go with that.
afternoon snack: green grapes, melon piece, sweet clem, apple (not necessarily all of them!)
tea: only me and wonder bairn tonight as bf is away, I'm thinking of making something up with chicken, spaghetti, peas, onion, mushrooms and a tin of tomatoes for me. Wonder bairn may want something much quicker after nursery so maybe just a freezer pot for her!

I am going to walk to a small ASDA near work (0.8 mile round trip) to find some cheap frozen veggies/see if any fresh stuff is reduced which adds a bit of walking in for today :)

Wish me luck...I think I need keeping in line/supervision haha
