  • Hi to the newbies and well done to the losers! (That sounds wrong.... I'm not calling the newbies losers, lol)

I'm so upset, emotional and annoyed with myself. Who day has gone to pot. Started off so well. But then couldn't come home for my break. Let my fruit. Ended up doing nearly 13 hours and on my little break stuffed my face with pizza, chicken wings and then some sweets as my friend bought us some.

Currently sat in tears almost because I'm so annoyed with myself. Why can I not have any willpower?? Also, meeting my best friend for lunch tomorrow. I have cancelled twice and can't do it again. I already know what i'm gonna eat, hot roast sandwich and chips.

Also "time of the month" any day now, which is just phantom really as the early menopause just gives me all the symptoms, BIG STYLE!

Feeling really down and fed up.

Sorry if I have brought the group down.

    :(

Woohoo been to WI and I lost 3lbs!!! (Shala this is wk 2 right? wk 1 I took a holiday)

But even better than the loss was the fact that I got both my 2stone award and my Club 10 :D:D:D:D:D:D

    Celebrating with chippy chips :o;)

    That's fantastic flutterby. Many congratulations!!:T

    Today's menu has been

B: scrambled egg and bacon, orange juice (4)
s: skinny latte (he ), alpen bar (2.5), banana
L: butternut squash soup (5 syns), roll (he) and chicken
    S: 2 clementines
T: jacket potato with 5 bean chilli, wine (6)

So slightly over on my syns :-(
It could be you're using things up but for future use you could save syns by making low syn/syn free soup. This is the SW one from the website.

I gave up having juice at breakfast as I thought it was a waste of syns. I have No Added Sugar Ribena and am going to try Aldi blackcurrant Hi Juice as someone said it's not so sweet.

Hope you don't mind, just ideas to keep within syns and save them for treats.

I can remember an old aunt having those old bloomers... She always referred to them as 'me drawers!' They were thick material, probably brushed cotton or something similar, no wonder her skirts always stuck out at a funny angle and never hung straight!

Oh the old 'winter drawers on' joke!;)

MrsR has some good shapewear greentiger. Hopefully she'll be along soon to advise.

No need to apologise. We all have a meltdown occasionally. It's easily done. I'm sure it was because you were really tired after a really long shift plus the hormones too. So willpower was in short supply.

You won't achieve anything by beating yourself up. I'd suggest you try to get some sleep, have a SW breakfast (lightest possible) then enjoy your lunch with your friend. Then a SW supper tomorrow evening. Then, do a good meal plan for the coming week with as much SP as possible. You can't change what's happened but you can get back on the wagon. There's plenty of room!!

Our consultant says it's like dropping your mobile phone. You'd pick it up not stamp all over it to make sure it was well and truly smashed.

    Do a beanie. Keep plodding!;)

Did someone say me name :D
For shapewear I swear by Primarni. It's like iron and even better it's cheap- on average about £5/6. I have the long leg shorts and the high waisted knickers that I wear on top of each other- the shorts pull up high and rest under my bra so almost knee to neck :rotfl: they really do the trick. I also have the long line cami which I sometimes wear for extra coverage :D
In the knicker department I used to be an M&S full brief kinda girl and always in black but now I favour M&S high rise boy shorts (but the ones they only sell at Xmas for £1.50 a pair. I bought nine pairs last Xmas- they are fab!!) or Boux Avenue shorts which are absolutely gorgeous and very comfy but also expensive (3 pairs for £12) and there isn't a local branch  come to think of it all the shops I love don't have branches here  under my bed at my Mum's is stuffed with Hollister bags :rotfl:
Had planned to go for a walk but the cold has really kicked my chronic pain off so have spent most of the day holed up on the sofa again :(
    Today's menu plan:
B: HEXB Alpen Light bars x 2, 2 satsumas, pint of NAS
L: Veggie soup with added onion, yellow and red peppers and courgettes, 2 big slices of melon, Apple and cucumber NAS flavoured water (sounds strange but was actually quite nice!)
    Snack: MugShot, apple
T: Quorn Meatballs, Uncle Ben's Thai Chilli Rice (1.5 syns) peas. Freddo (5 syns) mini Kinder bar (3.5 syns) HEXA glass of milk
S: Walkers Baked Stars (4.5 syns) can of caffeine free Diet Coke
    Syns: 14.5
I can't remember who asked :o sorry :o but yes ive changed my target. I didn't WI on Monday as I was bad with my anxiety but ive been mega good this week so I'm hoping for a maintain. Once I find out exactly where and when my awards ball is Im going to adjust my target back to what it was go full throttle.
This, by the way, is my dress- I thought I would share with you lovely lot :) it's from a website- I wish I was as skinny as that :rotfl:

  • Mrs Ryan that dress is lovely.

A loss of 1 1/2 lb for me please Shala-moo
  • CountingPennies - It's easily done, I have zero willpower, I'm fine if there is no bad food, but if someone slapped a Papa Johns Pizza on my desk I'd scoff the lot.

I find that a lot of the weight gain associated with a big stuff is actually just it working its way through your body, basically it's a lot heavier than your normal intake rather than you've gained a lot of weight. So get back on the diet ASAP and it'll start to come off again.

I personally find that such a meal somehow gives the metabolism a bit of a boost, so it can be a decent way to start some weight loss.
  • I'm sure I can feel my clothes looser on me already although in resisting the temptation to get on the scales till WI day on Sunday. My food plan for today is

B- fresh fruit with muller light yoghurt
L- Ham and cheese (HEA) jacket potato with salad
D- Tuna salad sandwich (HEB), a tomato slim-a soup (2.5) and a packet of sun bites (6.5)

Working late tonight so have to grab and go but day off tomorrow so I'm dusting my soup maker off.
    Make £10 a day in May- £90/£150

I have just caught up and have a smile on my face after all the windy/pants posts :) a good way to start Thursday :)

I wasn't feeling the slimming world love yesterday (despite having the best of intentions when I got up) so I ended up eating a very mixed menu which mostly involved lots of syns. A shame really.

I watched Fat, the fight of my life last night on sky living. I thought it was a good watch and better than the new dr Christian programme but I didn't think I got anything from it on how to eat better/make better choices. I thought the girl that was featured did really well :)

I've got a menu of sorts planned for today which includes as follows: -

Breakfast was HEB of toast with what was left (so not much) of the peanut butter (syns)

Second breakfast was measured porridge sachet with frozen blueberries. *

Snacks include melon/orange/pear slices/4x Jacobs high fibre crackers (need to check syn values) sweet pickled onions/low fat cheese (40g) HEA

    Lunch is 3 boiled eggs/lettuce leaves/tuna tin/beetroot

Tea is undecided but more than likely stir fry veg with pasta and chorizo (needs using up) :)

Have a great day all and stay safe xx

    * Although a B option, I need to count it as syns as opted to have toast as my B option today. I have been thinking of doing Extra Easy but allowing myself two A and two B options each day. not the slimming world way of course but red and green days well mix to match yesterday worked for me with the structure of having the two A/B options so it is something I am considering.

BEG – Sorry but he belongs to me, you can’t have him lol.You can always use the redundant knickers as dusters, this is what my mother does with dads old underpants!!!
I’m calling a holiday this week, I was really quite ill last night.A full pack of Rennie , half a pack of Wind Settlers and 3 peppermint teas still didn’t shift it and I didn’t get to sleep with the pain until the early hours. Couple that with a banging sore head and feeling like I've been poisoned - the form is not great!! :(
I haven’t had it that bad in a long time, really not good at all.Still not right today.Sadly its healthy veggies that do it to me too. I can eat all the unhealthy rubbish of the day and be fine but eat a load of vegetables and I’m in trouble : (
Think its been the unhealthy eating and stuffing over Christmas and then the shock of going back on plan and upping the veg etc has done it to me. My gut is obviously totally out of balance.Hopefully that’s it over with now and won’t flare up again for a while.Really very unpleasant.
So just put me down as a STS this week please Shala
Counting Pennies, feeling pretty rubbish and annoyed myself but come on lets get on with it and get this done. A few good days and we will both have picked up!
Mrs Ryan - like the dress, you'll have to post a pic of yourself in it when the time comes! where did you get Apple & Cucumber NAS?? It does sound bizarrely nice!

I think I’ll invest in some sloggi type (or stronger) breeks before I go shopping for wedding outfit. Can anyone make a recommendation? I don’t want held in in the middle at the expense of having escaped bulges elsewhere! On reflection, I think I need knickers that go from neck to knee, but avoiding chest, cos there’s not much there! Oooh maybe bulges could be squeezed up to augment bosom!

Total 7 ½ syns plus mince pie –really must try to work out how many syns in each.

    Good luck tomorrow.

M&S do some figure shaping tights that go right up to where your bra starts and control all the problem areas: thighs, bum, tum, hips and waist. They're a bit difficult to get on and going to the loo was a trial but they were fairly comfortable and stayed put, surprisingly.

I looked up mince pies before Christmas and a standard one is 11.5 syns, 6 for a mini.
