Hi everyone
Had a very lazy weekend, didn't managed to bring myself to do more than absoulutely necessary, so it was washing, a little cleaning round (still need to pass the hover though....) and a few kitchen jobs.
Turned some free apples into an apple crumble yesterday. brother of a neigbour had so many apples that the ones he couldn't get rid of ended up in a big box outside our garage to take for free, so I got some and made a crumble and still have some for apple sauce, but coudln't bring myself to do it just yet. Too lazy...
My last decluttering session earlier this week (I must be the only one who does decluttering when it is very hot, but thought I'll sweat anyway, so might as well do something...) had showed me that I have soo much stuff and don't need any books, crafting supplies, clothes, cosmetics... So spendings so far this month had been groceries, catsand, catfood, some pairs of tights and a meal out and I can't think of anything I might need/want besides food at the moment...
It is my Mums bday next week and I will bake her a cake plus her present will be some yarn and a handcream. She is very easy to please as yarn is her one and only addiction :-) But finally need to finish her bday card, so will spend the evening stitching. I keep all lose treads from bigger stitching projects for smaller ones, so cardmaking goes for the price of fabric and cards.
MrsLurcherwalker, I watched Pollyanna this morning, looks like you're playing the glad game now :-)
GQ i found some very nice soap lately which I kept because it reminded me of a holiday. I wondered for how long I want to keep it and decideded to use it up now as it will be now or never and I don't want it to still sit around in my closet in 10 years (it's been in there for 5...)
MrsSmith, hope you'll feel better soon! Colds are rubbish in winter, but when it is hot outside they're even worse....
Have a nice evening everyone!Fashion on the Ration 2022: 5/66 coupons used: yarn for summer top 5 /

Howsomever, feeling better and chirpier for a stroll and some fresh air!0

Hello, hope everyone's had a lovely weekend!
Had a late start this morning as both had a lie in, but we've made up for it by having a very productive afternoon and evening. In fact I'm knackered now, must remember I can't do so much now as the baby saps all my energy. Oh, non MMM news but we have our 20 week scan tomorrow - any bets on gender? I think girl and my husband thinks boy. We're going out for dinner to celebrate tomorrow (on the assumption all is good news of course) and the 'loser' gets to pick the restaurant.
Anyway, back to my productive afternoon - did a washing and got it out to dry in the sun, picked a bowl of raspberries, strawberries (these are nearly done) and what I THINK are redcurrants. Yes, the garden is still a bit of a mystery. We did the weekly shop (with meal plan and list done first) at Lidls, I made split pea soup and a loaf for my lunches, and then MIL came for dinner so I made toad in the hole (with amazing sausages from my mum's butchers) and a treacle sponge pud for dessert
Husband has been slowly working on the cabling. Yesterday we also picked up a bunch of free wood from my mum's (and got taken out for lunch into the bargain lol) which he's using to redo the rotted floor in our outhouse. He does have supplies to get but this has saved us a lot.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

I love Polyanna lol! I always think of it as a happy film & forget that just before the end it turns not so happy
I am using holiday hotel soaps at the moment to stop from buying shower gel until I really need to.
Can't wait for this cold to end! On the plus side I've stayed in & had a bit more of a de clutter today & having photographed everything earlier I am now busily listing items on eaabaay! About 25 items so far & probably the same again still to do . Might finish it off tomorrow at this rate. Also sold a few items today so need to wrap them up ready for posting tomorrow
Will get DH to go to the post office for me0 -
Hi all, busy weekend. lovely concert and picnic at Leeds castle yesterday , I even took flasks so people could have coffee and tea, so other than the contribution to petrol for the minibus I spent no money. Tickets has been bought early so were cheaper.
Hope Jackieo got on ok with the race for life at mote park. We were rehearsing not far away, and we were getting rained on. So not very nice. Fingers crossed all is dry this week -am drAm is no fun performing in the rain. I have made a load of home made ready meals over the last few weeks so I shouldn't need to buy food as I get tired during the week, just bung into microwave after work and dash off the play.
Right off for a very early night. Hope everyone has a lovely MMM week.

Me and OH had a lovely time camping yesterday, we went out to a nature reserve and camped beside a loch. Lots of fab walks. Up at the crack of dawn today though so it will be an early night tonight.
We had roast chicken for tea tonight, plenty of leftovers so that will feature heavily in meals during the week. I also attempted to make bread and it is edible :j and actually quite yummy. I've sliced it up and frozen it for during the week. Will try to keep this up as its so much cheaper to make my own rather than buy.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Hi guys
Looks like everyone has had a busy weekend
I've been working at the boot sale today so a NSD for me and I used the left overs from the burger van for dinner tonight again
I also managed to use up the coal left over from last years BBQ and used up a few bits from the cupboards and freezer for a BBQ last night ... Everyone seemed to enjoy it, I dug out the chocolate fountain and used up the bags of cadburys buttons I'd bough cheap a few weeks ago ... Great treat for the kids and had everything in I needed (not good for weight watchers on Tuesday though )

Finished defrosting the freezer - DH swapped the door round & as the weather was carp wewent to the sailing club for full house breakfast - yum! Had a chat with friends and came back home about 3! I decided to make some scones to go with the jam I made yesterday. I used a Mary Berry recipe - they tasted nice but mine never seem to rise well
don't know what I do wrong. Looked for the recipe that Monnagran used but couldn't find it. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
