Hi to Charlie's aunt.
I bought 2 new cucumber plants yesterday and will plant them in pots in plastic greenhouse. Weather looks like nice but still cool for a summer morning. We did eat some lettuce leaves from the garden yesterday and have frozen more rhubarb.
Resisted the urge to buy anything new for a do this weekend as I have things in my wardrobe that will be fine.2025 Decluttering Campaign 733/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Good morning people.Another lovely one here.
The wardrobe collector didn't.Wife ill, wishing her a speedy recovery, nothing to do with getting rid of a massive wardrobe!
Today I intend to knock spots off as my Aunt used to say.I am fed up of mess and boxes so a good hoover round and a bit of dusting might make it look better. The conservatory is full to the roof with packed boxes.I have packed a letter we need to be able to pay Mr V's NI contributions!!!!!!
Yesterday I sat in the sun and sanded an Edwardian plant stand that I bought ages ago for £5.It was in a sorry state, varnished it last night, very pleased with it.
I had forgotten that we are going to a family reunion on Saturday. My Mum's family. Her Mum was the eldest of 14 children so she has Aunts who are younger than her.It is at one of the cousin's pub in the white peak. They meet up every year.I always thought i looked like my Dad till I met my second cousin,we could be twins.
Have a lovely day.Vx:0 -
Good morning
I have an annoying little tomato that needs using up so going to have burgers in buns for tea. Also will treat us to deep fat fryer cooked potato chips... skins on of course!
A library trip for me today too. No sign of the books yet but fancied a photography for beginners kind of book so I'll see what they have.
A trip over to the allotment to water the corn (it's their turn, as I take a watering can daily because we have no water stores on the plot) and pleased that it looks like rain overnight.
Another wash load on, dried outside and some ironing.
Used up all the broken crackers, soft fruit, baguette end with some cheese and grapes for the girls' supper last. It went down very well.
The rabbit is having the softer veg today. That is tending to be how it goes now. I have myself into a routine where there always seems to be a little veg leftovers that maybe wouldn't be too hot for our consumption but mightily fine for our house rabbit. Reeling from the loss of all the dandelions.
My lunch will be grated cheese melted on toast with a sprinkling of Worchester sauce. Yum. Have a good MMM day all0 -
Just lost a big post! So just to say to the ladies who asked I do live near Charlies Aunt and Granny Kate. Looks like s good day for the garden today and also an irresponsible bike ride just for the fun of it! Walk with 2 poles but can still ride a bike as well as walk pushing it. When it's locked up however I can be seen around town sporting all my 1980s cycle kit plus helmet AND a foldup walking stick! Using the bike instead of my car for small shopping trips saves money on petrol and gets me much needed exercise. Entertaining the local population with my ludicrous apoearance as I shop is an added bonus but at least I don't fall! Broken ribs as I know to my cost take sges to heal and are blumming painful!!0

Afternoon everyone
It's a beautiful day here. I'm on a split shift so planning on sunbathing in the break. I was very organised last night and made up a salad for lunch plus have taken the leftover pasta bolognaise from tea last night for my tea tonight. Definitely no reason to go into the shop so today will be a NSD.
OH has a day off today so he said he would clean the flat and take all the recycling outso should go home to a lovely tidy flat tonight.

Gorgeous day here too - laughing watching the starlings in our bird bath. All perched round the edge with the ones in the bath giving them a shower!
Quick hospital visit this afternoon to see my DS1's friend who's recovering from an op & then out tonight with DS2 and DiL for a meal for my birthday. Really looking forward to it 'cos they both run businesses and have so little free time that it will be good to be able to have a proper 'catch up' with them.
Have a lovely evening everyone and all of you going to the meet up tomorrow - enjoy, have a safe journey & have a slice of cake for me!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
no MM&M today! no trips down memory lane! just wanted to give all those going to tomorrows 'meet' my best wishes! Have fun folks!0

I had a salad for lunch today at work, not much change there BUT I had home grown salad leaves! Made my lunch all the better, I now know I can grow something.
Had to water all the veggies again today, boy it's been hot (makes a change cos it usually rains here).0 -
Mo0rning chums ,well Southern Rail willing I will be at the 'meet' today. You'll have to excuse me for a bit of coughing as I still have this blessed cold but apart from the sniffles I'm not too bad.more of the stitches removed yesterday and back again on the 22nd for the last of them

Sun is rising over the Meday river and it looks as though it will turn into a nice day afterall, maybe rain tonight.I'm sure we will have a great time and get on like a house on fire

Have a lovely day ladies, presume it is all ladies.
I did knock spots off and feel better for it,not my back though I can hardly go today.
I am using food up now before the move, shepherds pie last night with some sprouting potatoes, half of it in the freezer for another day.
Today I will mow the lawns when they have dried off and possibly walk to my Mum's,will see how the back is later.
Feel like we are in limbo with he house move, just waiting now.
Have a lovely day Vx:0
