I wear a shortie night as a rule and have summer sleeveless ones and short sleeved winter ones. One of my arms is larger than the other owing to lymphodema after my mastectomy so I have a problem with anything with long sleeves. Most of my tops are shortsleeved and if I feel chilly I bung on an oversized cardi.I do like floaty gauze scarves though and have quite a collection of them.
jeans or trousers and I also have a much loved pair of black velvet trousers that I really like but only wear on special occasions.
I do have to have happy feet and my days of wearing my favourite strappy high heels are sadly gone as having to use a stick I would probaly fall over in them now, but I still look at them longingly when window shopping, year ago I even had heeled mules to wear indoors as slippers Old age is a bit of a come-down now

Jackie - I feel the same - I LOVED my shoes! the higher the heel the better I liked them! BUT, I cant wear them now - and cant wear 'flats' either. heel height has to be between 1 and 2 inches. and depending on fashion - its ruddy hard to get a really nice fashionable pair of 'comfy' shoes! which is why I live in my 'biker boots'! which is ok usually as tatty biker boots go with my usual attire - just a bit of a problem if I need to look 'smart'! lol0 -
I gave all my heels away about 3 years ago,no clue how I used to do a days work in them.
I also eat just oats and skimmed milk,I don't even let it soak.I have developed some strange tastes due to gall stones.I have got to the point where I dare not eat much at all.I am worried that when I can eat again that I will balloon.
I have had the nicest day.Took my Mum to patchwork club's exhibition,we were there nearly 2 hours, chatting, tea drinking and clearing the tombola.£2 spend gained 3 pin cushions,a beautiful patchwork cushion and a tea pot!Mum came for lunch then we nipped out to buy my fruit fix,I eat masses of the stuff.
I then had a call to say a house viewer wanted a second viewing.Would be fantastic if it sells, they made an offer before but lost their buyer. They have sold again now.
My eldest daughter has come home from uni.Very stressed, last week of placement, writing her dissertation, job interview presentation to plan for, where to live next year etc, etc. She is in her room playing the flute. It's about a year since I last heard her play.I hope it gives her a bit of relief from all her brain ache.I had forgotten how lovely it is to have her playing. She played a lot when she was at school and progressing through the grades.
My youngest daughter is having a sleep over at her friends and Mr V out doing a voluntary thing.
I also have a son who is a teacher in oxford.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow.Vx:0 -

Viv - your sausage bake sounds brilliant - that s a 'I must' for me!! I love sausages but they are just soooooo fatining! Sl!mmin Wor!d use the L!nda Mc C ones and tried some at my friends - they were nice and sauasgeish. (NB for those that dont know they are veggie - one variety are vegan even!) Am aiming to check the label thoroughly in Ice!and this week as keep on getting tempted this week to eat rubbish cos I havent had the time to prep anything for tea and have got in late from work.Have just seen my mate's photos from Belgium hols and I really have got to address this weight - even a whale looks slimmer!! :rotfl:
Have been to my scrapbookin workshop today - I havent made it for past few months and had forgotten how kind and friendly they all are! One had made a birthday cake for one of the others whos birthday it was and it would have been rude not to eat any of it!!! Oh dear - what was it i said just now about weight loss
Hey ho! back on it tomorrow - no wait im going to see Status Quo tomorrow - which involves beer and trash food!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: Will need serious support on Monday to keep to some kind of weight loss plan!!
Re wardrobe - mostly in the blue/sea green/prurple vibe with the odd splash of burnt orange! with dark blue/black jeans/trousers/cardis/ jackets. Most of it goes with each other - none needs ironing - a bit needs hand washing (about 4 items) and now that i ve split the sizes I can just reach into the wardrobe and grab whatever I fancy to wear!!
Back on Monday!Aim for Sept 17: 20/30 days to be NSDs  NSDs July 23/31 (aim 22) :j

Hello everyone,
I did my 5k race today and managed to run the whole way which I was very pleased with
Not really much to report in the way of MMMing in the last few days although I did finally get through the huge ironing pile. I'm heading to the supermarket to get the weekly shop tomorrow so hopefully will get some good YS bargains.
Re the wardrobe, for work I either have to wear black trousers and a white tunic or jeans and a t-shirt depending on where I'm working so I have a lot of basic t-shirts in practically every colour. Out with work I prefer to wear dresses or skirts. JackieO I also have a huge collection of floaty scarves as I love them.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66

:T Well done on running your 5k race, misstara, and I hope you aren't achey today.
I have been thinking (that was the strange whirring noise in your background btw) and feel knackered this early in the day and have done 7 hours allotmenteering in the past 2 days and have to be back at the paid job tomorrow, so will award myself a Pottering Day.
Which does what is says on the tin, and will involve some light chores and decluttering, some lounging around on the sofa reading, and my beloved interweb, of course. One cannot be doing productive stuff all the time and, as a person with ME, I'm getting a sense that I need to take it easy today.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Morning money savers.
Sunday, meant to be the first day of a new week.
Just remembering, I think I saw on the news it is the London marathon this morning.
I will watch a bit of that. Love seeing all the people and some costumes. Sites around London.
Yesterday went well. I spent the morning washing down, mopping floors and general Spring cleaning various area's.
I put some diffrent cards given into frames. Grouped together the silver coloured frames in the fireplace and took the x2 wooden frames away. Looked neater.
I put some b/day, anniversary cards into frames instead of all photos.
I like the cards with wife/mum on. Shows care.
Chuffed lots of clutter went out the door in the afternoon. DD says she is very willing to put stuff on her facebook sale page to use the cash for grandbaby.
I was stunned how quick she sold a unloved computer chair. Gone an hour later.
Time for breakfast. Poached egg on toast. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Morning All,
It's still nice weather here in spite of the forecast; I've yet to put my nose out the door (pottering, like you, GQ - I try and do a bit of that on Sunday) so it might look warmer than it actually is.
If you've read all of this post, you'll know that I love high heels - I nearly always wear them when I go out (which is only once or twice a week, unless DB is here). The best advice on high heels came from Gok Wan : 'What size heel to wear? If you feel you are about to fall off, then your heels are too high....if you want to wear high, high heels, make sure you have a taxi on call the whole night'.
Lynn, I do hope you try the recipe. I don't want to contribute to anyone's weight problem - been there, done that, worn the t-shirt - but I found going on a low carb diet and using a smaller plate helped me lose weight successfully and I've never put it back on - if I do feel a few pounds have crept on I just cut down for a week - as you can see I love food and certainly do indulge myself on occasions.
Actually I have a problem now; I'm obviously addicted - up to now this month I've used more packets of (real) coffee than I have loo rolls - 5 loo rolls, 6 packs of coffee! Now, do I find somewhere to buy my coffee in bulk or do I confine myself to one cup in the morning? On cost alone, coffee will cost me approx. £18 per month at this rate (I had a stash in) - not good. As this is confession time, I also only drink coffee with double cream. Of course, I do have visitors who also drink it. Actually I'm pleased that I did write down what I've been consuming this month as it has given me a whole new perspective on what I do actually get through; maybe in 6 months I will have an insight on how much I spend on staples and perhaps alter my habits somewhat or buy in bulk where I can. I'd be interested in your comments.
I've decided to clean the steam cleaner and then the oven today after breakfast so have a good day, Folks, I better start with the washing up. Speak later.

Vhalla, if the coffee brings you joy (as the new saying goes) carry on!. £18 divided by 30 days = 60p per day.
Look around the web for any discounts in the supermarkets and stock up.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
