:eek: I dread to think what the full price was!
I've also been industrious this today and all undies repaired, my apron bias binding is all freshly renew including the ties. I can't believe I was going to throw that apron away and make a new. Nothing wrong with it but it is now going to be my gardening apron simply because its so strong and I've been a tinker for wearing my kitchen aprons in the garden, which I don't like.
Just having a break and then I'm doing the final job of repairing the little hole in my knitted poncho.
Reading just todays posts it amazing how all our little jobs are getting done. Doesn't it feel good when or even while we are doing them? As has been said above, its so satisfying! :T:TMAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Apologies if someone's already mentioned this but re:
Bra underwires-- I used one to keep my knitting on.
Now if someone could please tell me how you do one of those quote thingies...0 -
That's a brilliant idea for the underwires, Runcorn!
To quote someone in your post then just go to the bottom of their post and click the 'quote' button next to thanks. A posting window will come up with their post at the top and you can write either above or below it.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Argh someone had to mention Lakeland, didn't she. tut tut. That's the sort of site where I fill my virtual basket with all the things I'd love and then empty it before the debit card comes out.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Such a lovely thread! One of my resolutions is to have more confidence ..... I would love to knit and sew and embroider but I convince myself that I could never manage it!
Also want to get more frugal and organised! I set up a FB group on the homemaking subject and so far that has been motivating - feel more accountable when I am posting my daily tasks.0 -
Hi Old-fashioned-girl.
I think accountability is key. It focuses us I think. You've committed to do it, when its done you're proud and want to let everyone know you did it!
Speaking of which, my aims for tomorrow are:
Make a HM loaf
Make a cake
Sow some herbs
Repot my spider plant and its babies.
In the interests of minimising, I'll be baking a loaf as all YS loaves are used from freezer. I've at least 2 huge sacks of bread mix so that needs using.
A friend's coming round for coffee in the evening and perish the thought that cake won't be available so its 'make a cake' time as I've loads of ingredients in so won't waste money.
I've been sorting through all my seeds that need sowing
soon.
I thought I might as well sow my thyme and flat leaved parsley morrow while I've got the compost out sorting my spider plant.
It looks like I'm sowing lots of carrots but they aren't carrots seeds. These were from Parks Promotions in their sale and I think they must have just used whichever seed packs but put the correct info on the backs. I don't mind for 25p a pack!MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250

Had a beautiful breakfast of smoked salmon crescents on toasted tiger bread. YUM.
I had some of the pasta salad with rocket salad at lunch with hot dog sausagebut my son had his pasta salad hot. Wasn't sure it would work but he said it was good.
YS Cornish pasties from freezer stocks for dinner. Not a healthy tea but a tasty one and cheap as they'd cost 35p for two.MAY GROCERY CHALLENGE £0/ £250
